Luberon wine
You will come across many wineries as you drive around the Luberon, invariably there will be a tasting room where you can try out the wine and buy some. To save some time and mileage, below are some of my favourite Luberon wines.
There is also a great little wine store in Coustellet, where the owner Sandrine really knows her wine, and stocks local and other regions of France: Di Vin

There are some decent wines in the Luberon, but if you want great wines you need to head for Avignon and the Rhone wine trail. Start at Chateauneuf du Pape, where you do pay a premium for the name, and head up to Gigondas, Cairanne and Vacqueyras, then take the autoroute north to Valence, where the god of wine probably lives : Cornas, Crozes-Hermitage, St Joseph, Condrieu, and Cote Rôtie, one divine appellation after another.
