2-bedroom Provence rental cottage with wonderful views near the market town of Apt
La Colline is a perfect 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom rental home - quiet and with outstanding view yet close to amenities; surrounded by cherry and olive trees in 1 hectare of land; everything is new; the rooms are all a good size; and there are no mobility issues as it is on one level. Available for rental by the week, sleeps 4 people, we regret that children under 10 are not accepted.

The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan, and open onto the shaded terrace with sweeping Luberon view over the cherry trees. The living room has ample comfortable seating, flat-screen TV and WiFi internet. The coffee table pictured above is made from an old forge bellows.

For intemperate days there is an indoor dining table but most of the time you will be using the outdoor table through the sliding windows. The kitchen is very well equipped, with oven, 4 gas rings, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, double sink, electric kettle. There is a clothes washing machine in the basement with drying line outside.

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1 and its en suite bathroom.
The two bedrooms both have 1.4m-wide (4.6ft) beds and en suite bathrooms. Bedroom 1 (above) has a bath-tub with overhead shower, and bedroom 2 has walk-in shower. Both have WCs. There is also a third WC for guests.

Outside
The house is in 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of its own land, which is mostly planted with cherry and olive trees. To the back of the house is a vineyard. The road leading to the house is extremely quiet and there are no neighbouring properties close enough to see or hear. There is plenty of parking by the house. You can store rental bikes in the basement, which has easy access from the outside.

The Location
La Colline is in a lovely position in the hills above Apt, where it is quiet, rural and picturesque but less than 5 minutes drive down to the centre of town. In Apt you will find a supermarket, cinema, all sorts of specialist stores, restaurants and cafes, as well as the biggest market in the region every Saturday.
Close by are the famed perched villages of the Luberon - Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede le vieux, Bonnieux, and Goult, as well as the less-known but beautiful St Saturnin les Apt, Saignon, Caseneuve, Joucas and Murs. The Luberon natural park is a small region with a high concentration of beautiful Provence landscapes - the lavender, vineyards and orchards, and dotted around are the medieval hill-top villages. A day-trip away are the cities of Avignon, Aix, Arles, Nimes, Marseille, the French Riviera, and the Rhone Wine Trail.
