The Bastide de Saint Pierre is by the tiny village of St Pierre de Mezoargues in the Alpilles region of Provence. The village has a small food store. The village of Boulbon is 3km (2 miles) away, and has grocery, cafe, restaurant and post office, and the larger village of Barbentane is 10 minutes away.

The house is within 20 minutes of the fascinating cities of Avignon and Tarascon, and so is centrally located for all that Provence has to offer - the Luberon and Cote d'Azur to the east, the Rhone wine trail to the north, the Camargue, Les Baux, Aix and Marseille to the south, and Nimes and the Languedoc to the west. All would make an idyllic day or half-day trip.
