Tanamara is a Provence holiday villa in a calm and beautiful setting on the plateau of Bonnieux, surrounded by 1.7 hectares (4.2 acres) of partly wooded land. The house sleeps 10 people and is 2km from the gorgeous village of Bonnieux.

 

The house, in a natural setting of oak trees, has 4 acres of land and a pool.

Living Rooms

The idea of the house is that it marries with the natural beauty around it, it is simply decorated, and single-storey, built with the materials of the region: stone walls, terracotta floors, Provencal ceilings, wooden beams.

There is a big open-plan living space with a sitting room around the fireplace, TV/DVD, dining area and kitchen. A little work corner has a desk with phone and WiFi internet.

The kitchen is done in a rustic style but is well equipped with a large Gaggenau oven, 4 gas rings, dishwasher, and in the cellar a large fridge-freezer. There is a clothes washing machine.

Bedrooms

There are 5 bedrooms, one of which is attached to the house and has separate access and its own bathroom.

The master bedroom has a bathroom with shower and WC.

The three other bedrooms within the house use the large family bathroom with bath, hand shower, WC and washing machine.

The 5th bedroom, with its own access, also has a bathroom with shower, basin and WC.

A child’s crib/cot can be supplied.

The 5th bedroom has its own access from the garden and a bathroom with shower, basin and WC.

Garden & Pool

Outside you can find your own spot to relax: under shade in a hammock, on one of the sunloungers by the pool, on a bench facing the valley, or one of the two terraces.

 

The pool is 8m x 4m (26 x 13ft) and has a view of the Mont Ventoux.

The observation deck at the bottom of the garden.

To make the most of the amazing view at the bottom of the garden, there is a raised observation deck, which is the ideal place to watch the sun rise or set. This takes in the vast panorama of Provence with the Mont Ventoux straight ahead.

The Location

 

Bonnieux, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is 2km away.

The house is in the wooded hills 2km (1.3 miles) from the delightful village of Bonnieux, with its restaurants, cafes and food stores. Bonnieux is one of the perched villages of the Luberon, officially one of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in France'. Close by are other notable hilltop villages: Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Lacoste, Goult, and Oppede le vieux, etc.

From Bonnieux you are by the cleft in the Luberon mountain that gives you access to the south side: as well as Lourmarin there are places like Cucuron, Ansouis, Cadenet and Pertuis to explore, and beyond these, Aix en Provence. The Cote d'Azur is 90 minutes away.

Included in the rental rates: bedlinen, towels, pool towels, utilities, WiFi internet, 3 hours of cleaning per week, and after-stay clean.

Rental periods run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am.

To secure a booking you would send a 25% deposit, with the balance payable up to 8 weeks before your stay .		 There is a refundable security deposit of 800 euros against any breakages or damage.

Cancellation policy: if we can find another booking for your dates we will return any money sent (minus bank charges).

The house is for a maximum of 10 people. We regret that pets and smoking are not allowed in the property.
