It has just been modernised to a high standard and is less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of the superb village of Cucuron with its shops, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is a wonderful base for exploring the region and is also ideal for longer stays - there is free WiFi internet, TV/DVD, washing machine and off-street parking. And Cucuron is a village that is alive all year round. |

The light-filled living room and kitchen are open plan, with the dining table and TV also in the living room. This room opens onto the sunny terrace. The kitchen is well equipped, with oven, 4-ring cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher.

Bedroom with en suite bathroom, can be a large double or two singles.
In the spacious bedroom the bed can be either a 1.8m-wide (6ft) double, or two singles. The en suite bathroom has walk-in shower, basin and WC.

The gravelled terrace has table and chairs, two sun-loungers and a parasol. There is off-street parking outside the apartment.
The Location
Cucuron is a great Provence village, combining fantastic looks, medieval history and charm with all the amenities you need: bakeries, butchers, grocery store, bank, cafes and restaurants, and even a Michelin-starred restaurant (La Petite Maison).

At the centre of the village of Cucuron is its huge water basin surrounded by centuries-old plane trees, which you may remember from the film 'A Good Year'. This is where the weekly market takes place, and is also home to restaurants and cafes.

The basin (bassin) of Cucuron is the natural focal point of the village, it is where the market is held and where you can eat under the towering plane trees.
Cucuron is surrounded by vineyards and stunning Provence countryside, with the Luberon mountain on its north side. It is very close to other beautiful Luberon villages - Lourmarin, Bonnieux, Ansouis, Cadenet, La Tour d'Aigues - and 35 minutes from Aix en Provence.

Five minutes away from Cucuron is the Etang de la Bonde (pictured below right), a big swimming lake with sandy beach. Cucuron also has communal tennis courts.
