The Writer's House is a cosy 1-bedroom holiday rental home between the Provence villages of Gordes and Goult, with pool and garden - ideal for arty and romantic couples who want to be situated in the heart of the Luberon. The Writer's House is on the grounds of the owner's house, giving you the benefit of security and assistance when needed, but also privacy.

The living room opens onto both the front and back patios, and has 2 sofas, a day-bed, dining table and 4 chairs, and TV with French stations

There are three rooms: living room with kitchen corner, air-conditioned bedroom, and bathroom. Outside there is a patio with table and chairs, and a private stretch of lawn bordered with trees. The furnishings are high quality and the house lends itself to calm contemplation and enjoyment of this very special part of Provence. There is free internet.

The bedroom (above) has a bed that is 1.5m wide (5ft), and has air conditioning. The bedroom opens onto the front patio. The bathroom has walk-in shower, WC and basin.

In the living room the kitchen corner has 2-ring stove, microwave/grill, espresso machine, toaster, under-counter fridge-freezer and sink. Next to the house is a room with washing machine and dryer.

The Garden

To the back of the house is the patio with 2 comfortable wicker chairs and table, then a private lawn with fig, oak and chestnut trees. In the garden you may occasionally spot the owners' very gentle dogs.

The pool is by the owners' house and you have shared use of it. There is also a 2-bedroom rental house on the grounds, and if that is also rented, its occupants have use of the pool. The owners rarely use the pool. You cannot see or hear the pool area from the Writer's House. The pool is 10m (33ft) long.

There is private private parking by the house.
