Set in a rustic hamlet 5 minutes from the stunning hill-top village of Gordes, Lady Oscar is a 2-bedroom Provence rental gite with pool that is close enough to the hill-top villages to get your baguette in the morning but not give up the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. |

The kitchen is equipped with oven, 4-ring cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle and coffee machine.
Stairs to the lower level take you to a very cosy living room with ancient flagstones on the floor and an impressive fireplace taking up one wall. There is also a TV with satellite channels. The colours here are blues and broken whites, while upstairs they are ochres and yellows. |  |  |

There are two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two singles.

Garden & Pool

 View through hamlet to Luberon | The pool (10m x 5m) and garden are nominally shared with the owners, but as they are busy people they do not get to use the pool much. Olive trees and fruit orchards surround the property, and it is not isolated but part of a small hamlet with real Provencal people. The house adjoins, but faces away from, the owners' house, so while you have total privacy, they are usually there to help with any recommendations or language difficulties - he is French, she is British, and there is nothing they don't know about Provence! |
The Location
Lady Oscar is beautifully situated for exploring the region. Just 4km up the road is Gordes, then the other Luberon villages are all around: Menerbes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede le vieux, Bonnieux, and Goult - all within 15 minutes. An hour or two away are Avignon, Aix, Arles, Nimes, St Remy, Marseille and the French Riviera.

Traditional Chinese Medicine
Take advantage of the wide range of traditional treatments, including relaxing or invigorating massages, offered by Marcello, a fully qualified and experienced acupuncturist and health practitioner with a private practice in Les Bouilladoires.
Art Workshops
At Lady Oscar we host art, painting, drawing, watercolour and photography workshops in the spring or autumn. The programme is available on demand. The art courses take place in the wonderful provençal countryside and include visits to local artists’ studios and excursions if desired. We can cater for up to twelve people, accommodated at Lady Oscar and in another beautiful gîte run by a bi-lingual English couple within 5 minutes walking distance.
