2-bedroom Luberon gite for 4+3 people, with tennis court, 1km from Menerbes in Provence

 

Le Cerisier is one of three beautifully decorated Provence gites in the secluded grounds of the owners' house. With pool, tennis court and boules on site, and the village of Menerbes 1km away, this is a perfect base for exploring Provence or staying put. The surrounding countryside is lush with cherry orchards and vineyards. Le Cerisier sleeps 4-7 people in 2 bedrooms, plus 2 extra beds on the mezzanine.




Living Rooms

 

Kitchen and living room are open-plan across the full width of the house.

The house has a stunning open-plan living space with double-height ceiling. Here you will find a beautiful kitchen, cherry wood dining table, and living room. The kitchen is equipped with oven, 4-ring cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and coffee machine. The living room is set around the wood-burning stove, and has British satellite channels as well as French, and a DVD player. There is also free WiFi.

 

The mezzanine (pictured above) has a sofa-bed and single bed and has the possibility of sleeping 3 extra people.




Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a 1.5m-wide (5ft) double bed and bedroom 2 has two single beds which can also be configured as a 1.8m-wide (6ft) double.

Both bedrooms are downstairs and have an en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, basin and WC.

 

Twin room and second bathroom. The two beds can be brought together to make a wide double.

There is also a guest WC downstairs and washing machines are available on the property.




Garden & Pool

 

Outside the gite has its own terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, and is set amid tall shading trees and close to the pool and the lavender-edged lawn and vegetable garden.

The grounds, pool and tennis court are shared with two other gites but each gite is separate, facing in different directions, and have their own private outside terrace with dining table and chairs.

 

The pool and the shade of the pool house are by the tennis court.

The pool is 10 x 5m (33 x 16ft), with roman steps at the shallow end and a diving board at the deep end. Around the pool are very comfortable sunloungers and parasols, as well as the pool house and shower.

The owners live on site and are a bi-lingual British couple, they are delighted to help with any local advice or to resolve any problems. There is secure parking and the property is enclosed and gated.

The Location

The house is 1km from the village of Menerbes, and is an ideal location for exploring the rest of the Luberon and Provence. Menerbes has everything you need - cafe, restaurants, bakery, butcher and a small grocery store.

All the other picture-perfect 'perched' hill-top villages of the Luberon are within 15 minutes by car: Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede le vieux, Bonnieux, and Goult.

Within an hour are Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, St Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, and the start of the Rhone wine trail.

There is a market every day in one of the surrounding villages.

You can make a comfortable day-trip of the Cote d'Azur from Monte Carlo to St Tropez, Marseille, the fishing village of Cassis and the calanques, Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, the Alps, the Gorges du Verdon, and the Rhone wine trail all the way to Lyon.

Included in the rental rates: bedlinen, towels, pool towels, utilities, WiFi internet, and after-stay clean.

Rental periods run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am.

To secure a booking you would send a 30% deposit, with the balance payable up to 8 weeks before your stay.		 There is a refundable security deposit of 500 euros against any breakages or damage.

Cancellation policy: if we can find another booking for your dates we will return any money sent (minus bank charges).

The house is for a maximum of 7 people. We regret that pets and smoking are not allowed in the property.
