Trains to Provence
Trains are a great way to travel in France and Europe - they are fast and frequent, and the journey distances are not huge.
If you are flying into Paris CDG airport you can catch a TGV fast train from the airport to be in Avignon 2 hours and 40 minutes later. You then complete your journey with car hire or taxi.
