We had a wonderful time in Eva and Neil’s beautiful home, we instantly felt as if it were our own! A lovely peaceful location on the edge of the village yet handy for everything from local visits to the morning baguette. With such lovely hosts we certainly hope to return soon.

We loved our stay. Our family of 4 adults found this spacious and beautifully decorated home relaxing and rejuvenating . It was clean and well cared for, with beautiful views at every angle. Our beds were comfortable, the wifi strong, and the modern kitchen had everything. We were very happy to arrive to this picture perfect setting, and a few days later the lavender harvest began – the scent was incredible! This inspired us to visit the Musee de Lavande, where we learned so much and enjoyed this serendipitous outing. Otherwise, we did not leave the fantastic pool (perfect temp) often…. even in the afternoon sun, we created shade by drawing the flowy curtains. So relaxing. Menerbes is a lovely quiet village with a few casual restaurants and sights to explore. The Thursday Market was good fun! A perfectly sized local market with a bit of everything and not crazy busy. Eva and Niels are the most welcoming and generous hosts one could imagine. We plan to return.

Our family of four (all adults) had a wonderful stay at La Source. The outdoor amenities are fantastic–a stunning view onto a lavender field, delightful pool, and several outdoor dining areas. We found the beds to be very comfortable, and the kitchen/grill combo made it easy for us to purchase ingredients from the local markets and prepare many of our meals at home. The house does not have AC (an adjustment for these Americans!), but with its thick walls and huge windows, we felt comfortable into the high 80s. Above that, we did get a bit hot, and the pool came in very handy. The location of the home could not be better–it’s at the foot of a charming village, which gives you a sense of space and serenity while still allowing you to walk to get coffee and pastries in the mornings. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and we would absolutely recommend La Source.

We had a lovely family break for five of us in mid June at La Source for 10 days. The house is very easily accessible from Marseille airport where we picked up our hire car and travelled for only an hour to get there. We were made to feel very welcome by Eva and Niels who’;s lovely home is perfectly located a short walk from Menerbes centre with just the right amount of cafes, restaurants, boulangerie and grocery with market on Thursday. We all enjoyed exploring the village which has a very charming and lived in feel without being over busy and touristy at this time of year. La Source is very well located for exploring the beautiful scenery (walks), easily accessible vineyards and of course the beautiful little towns and villages. There is so much to see and do, we will need to go back as probably only managed half of what we planned, though we did manage even manage a day trip to Cassis and the Calanques. But there is so much more to see and explore.

La Source is beautifully presented, stylish, while homely with a gem of an infinity pool, plenty of space and areas for eating inside and out, with an outdoor kitchen, dining area and BBQ. It is very well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing and easy living holiday with a beautiful aspect over hills and lavender fields. We felt blessed and privileged to experience this stunning place and would like to thank Eva and Niels for their personal, very welcoming and easy going approach which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. We did not want to leave and will surely return.
