Wonderful stay in the Luberon

Rated 5 out of 5
4th August 2021

In a magnificent region, a very beautiful authentic house in the village of Cabrières d’Avignon, very well equipped, quiet, with a view of the pool area.

Impeccable cleanliness, additional services of a very good level (house equipment, comfort, air conditioning, swimming pool and summer kitchen, intermediate cleaning)

Great welcome on site from Rosie and Carlo, adorable and attentive.

We will not hesitate to return!

PAOLO'S VIEW: “A great layout, a/c and the proximity of the bakery and grocery store make this an ideal house to enjoy Provence.”

The Location
The house is 300 metres from the centre of Cabrieres d'Avignon.

Cabrieres d'Avignon is one of the less-visited and more authentic villages in the beautiful Luberon region. The honey-coloured centre of the village is self-sufficient with a small grocery store and bakery. Cabrieres also has public tennis courts and a children's playground, and 5 hectares of cedar forest with walking, bike and fitness trails. The village is notable as the launchpad for several hiking and biking trails into the beautiful countryside all around.

Cabrieres d'Avignon is well placed in the Luberon, 5 minutes from the stellar village of Gordes, and 2 minutes from all the shops and restaurants of Coustellet, as well as its Sunday morning farmers' market. It is a short drive to the other beautiful hill-top villages of the Luberon: Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Roussillon, Goult, Oppede-le-vieux, etc. as well as antiques capital L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and stunning Fontaine-de-Vaucluse to the west. Within an hour are the splendid Provence cities of Avignon, Arles, St-Remy, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail.

Wonderful house & location

Rated 5 out of 5
26th July 2025

The house is larger than it appears in the photos – all good sized bedrooms and separated for privacy, cozy living area and choice of dining inside or out. Well equipped kitchen. Village has a wonderful boulangerie – great location off the busy tourist roads but easy to get to the pretty villages of the Luberon. thank you for a lovely visit.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 weeks at Le Murier de Cabrières. The house is very comfortable and the air-conditioning most welcome in the July heat! The location is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Vaucluse region. Rosie & Carlo were extremely friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay again.

Superbly comfortable house in delightful village

We had a wonderful month long stay at the house. It really was a home away from home, set in beautiful surroundings. There is a wonderful balance of being able to explore the region and also being able to enjoy the comforts of the property. Rosie and Carlo were also so helpful as well as other members of the village. We would highly recommend and look forward to re-visiting.

Spectacular holiday

Rated 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful time in this lovely house. Everything about it was convenient and tasteful. It was really well-equipped and certainly benefits from the owners clearly spending time there so everything you could possibly want has been provided. The bedrooms are lovely, the beds comfortable, the air-con very welcome in an August heatwave, the pool so refreshing after long days sauntering through Provencal hilltop villages. Overall it was the most delightful and peaceful place to stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to book the same holiday home again. Huge thanks also to Rosie and Carlo for making us so welcome.
