What a beautiful house: furnished with care and a sense of atmosphere, both inside and out. And the perfect location in relation to the village in a very beautiful landscape.
Ansouis is officially one of 'The Most Beautiful Villages in France'. The village and its chateau are beautifully preserved, and although this is one of the smaller Luberon villages, Ansouis has a choice of eateries from the village bar to a Michelin-starred restaurant. Also in Ansouis - a bakery and patisserie, and a small grocery store.
Ansouis is surrounded by vineyards and stunning Provence countryside. This is the south side of the Luberon mountain, which means the closest villages include delightful Lourmarin and Cucuron, as well as being 30 minutes from the great city of Aix-en-Provence, and an hour to Marseille and Avignon. You can drive through the Luberon mountain and get to the other celebrated hill-top villages of the Luberon in 40 minutes like Bonnieux, Menerbes, Gordes, Roussillon, Oppede-le-vieux and Goult.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, after-stay clean. For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a weekly clean with change of bedding and towels.
To book: 25% booking deposit, with the balance due 60 days before arrival.
Rental periods: 1-week minimum, from 4pm Saturday to 10am Saturday.
Refundable damage deposit: 750 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 8. Minimum age of 7.
This house is not adapted for people with disabilities.
Pets are not allowed at this property.

Wonderful holiday in Ansouis
So pleased we chose Hans and Anne’s home for our family holiday.The house is beautiful,full of artworks,antiques and tasteful furnishings,which is complemented by the outstanding garden,pool and surrounding countryside.In addition to this was the underfloor cooling system downstairs,much appreciated when the the temperature was 35 degrees .
Every morning,after a quick trip to the bakery for breakfast,only a couple of minutes down the road,we set off sightseeing.Roussillon,Aix-en- Provence,Cassis, Lourmarin,just a few of the delightful places to visit.
A couple of highlights,a visit to a fanzone for the France/Spain match and an open air jazz festival,so well organised by the local community.
Thanks to Anne and Hans for opening up their lovely home,my family and I couldn’t have been happier.
Ideal Provencal Home
Ansouis is an incredibly beautiful village that feels far from the tourist crowds and authentically French with some very nice shops and restaurants! The house is large and beautifully kept with everything you could need and a view from every room. Stayed for a week in July with our two adult children. We all want to go back!
A picture postcard house
We stayed for a week in June 2025 with our daughter and her adult friend. The house was beautifully decorated and had every conceivable thing you could want. It is a large home which has been expertly renovated. The highlight for us though was the garden, terrace area and pool – so private and so inviting in the hot Provencal afternoons. It is 5 minutes to walk to the gorgeous small village of Ansouis… and there is a boulangerie at the end of the street. Ansouis is a good base to explore the Southern Luberon. The whole experience was perfect.
