A little paradise

We had an amazing stay at St Esteve. The place is like a little paradise on earth in the middle of Luberon. The cottage is clean, cosy and well equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The property has lovely gardens and a large heated swimming pool which can be used during any season. Alex, the owner of the vineyard and of the property was welcoming us and gave us useful tips on several activities and short trips we did during our stay. She is warm hearted and has a lovely personality. The three dogs, Neri, June and Tina became our companians for the 12 days we were there. Our daughter fell in love with them. We will truly miss everything at the chateau, but will definitely return one day.

We have twice before stayed in the village of Ansouis and loved it. This September we returned to Ansouis and, on the recommendation of friends, we stayed at Saint Esteve, only a 10 minute drive from the small town centre of Ansouis. We were greeted when we arrived by Alex, the proprietor who lives on the property.. We later met Helen who oversees the reservations and who also lives on the property. They were both gracious and welcoming and were a continued source of information on the surrounding area during our week there. The "cottage" is a two bedroom suite that includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom as well as the bedrooms. It is very nicely decorated. We felt comfortable as soon as we first entered the cottage. The property includes a large swimming pool which we were encouraged to use and did so, daily. Ansouis has a small town centre that includes a nice grocery store and a one-star Michelin restaurant, La Closerie, that is truly amazing. During the week toured some of the nearby towns on their market day. Lourmarin was our favourite.

Peaceful place

Very peaceful place, beautiful surrounding, great to start trips around. The apartment is large, comfortable, perfectly equipped. We did not miss anything. Just pity we could not use the swimming pool due the colder weather. And lovely dogs, cats and owners. Do not forget to taste local vine production.

A perfect stay

We stayed at Esteve de Neri for two weeks in Oct 2017. Everything was perfect. The house, the location, the hosts (and their dogs), oh and the wine. Ansouis is the perfect location to see Western Provence. We had day trips to Arles (my favourite), Avignon, Pont du Gare, Aix, Cassis and the Calanques, the Camargue and the Verdon Gorge. We also had lovely days out and some great walks in and around Gordes, Buoux and Loumarin. The bakery in Ansouis is delicious and Le Closerie restaurant is an must. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. We also did wonderful walks around Gordes, Buoux

Absolutely delightful house and setting

Had a fantastic week here - beautiful place and location was brilliant. Very tasteful house and the outside area was lovely to take in the views. Being able to buy the great wine so easily was fab too (and just discovered it's sold in a new wine shop in Twickenham!). Location was great for seeing all the Luberon villages and to get to Aix en Provence. Would highly recommend it and we'll be back for two weeks next year!

A perfect place for a nice, relaxing holiday

I have been coming for my holidays to the St Esteve flat every year for the past five or six years - and it's been wonderful! It's such a nice, calm place in the Middle of the Provence region. It's easy to get around and visit the surroundings if you have a car. You can visit the lovely village nearby or beautiful Aix-en-Provence and many other nice places in the area and enjoy the French way of life. The Wilsons are the perfect hosts. The flat is always immaculate and they are very welcoming and yet discreet. It's just so peaceful to spend some time in the middle of a vineyard. I highly recommend this place to anybody who'd like to take his/ her mind off things. It's a beautiful place for a holiday!!
