This is paradise

We stayed here 7 years ago and loved it, nothing has changed it's as beautiful as ever. This is the real Provence, not so much a tourist destination but a private home that Victorine shares with others. Except you have your own private apartment with outdoor eating. The area around this magnificent home is exquisite. The Luberon mountains loom up in front of you with the grapevines sprawled out seductively below. They are calling you.....come taste our wine and it's good. The local food is wonderful and there's plenty to explore. There's the semi deserted hilltop stone village called Oppede Le Vieux which is worth the climb! As well as the other hilltop towns of Menerbes, Bonnieux, Gordes, Rousillon.......etc. etc. Plan to stay more than a few days, you'll be sorry if you don't! So much to see, the fresh foodmarkets are wonderful, the antique market at Isle sur Le Sorgue on a Sunday is a must. And the light show in the caves at Le Baux de Provence is beyond exceptional. Astonishing!!! A car is necessary to get around but it's easy driving around the area. Pickup and drop off at Avignon TGV. Victorine is a wonderful host, we absolutely loved our stay here again. Next time it will be longer, much longer and when it's hot so we can swim in the beautiful pool overlooking the mountains! A tennis court is available, in short you have everything here for a magical holiday.

The Real Provence

The estate has a number of beautiful character properties in the grounds, or linked to the main house. They are beautiful, classic Luberon. Wonderful views in a tranquil setting, with a well situated pool, and extremely well appointed tennis court. I would thoroughly recommend a stay for anyone, families or couples, looking for a delightful and genuine holiday in Provence.

A beautiful place to stay

We had such a lovely week staying here. It felt like paradise. We were in need of some rest and relaxation and this provided that and tons more. We loved everything about the place from the pretty 'cottages' to the scenery, the ancient oak woodland, the birds, the views, the tennis court and the swimming pool. The owner Vita is amazing helpful and kind, any questions or advice and she is delighted to help.

Amazing views

We stayed here for a week in May. We were not disappointed. The villa was furnished beautifully with lots of space for 2 couples. We had an amazing patio where we spent every moment that we were at the villa sitting and enjoying the view of Le petite Luberon. We took walks and runs everyday along quiet country roads with vineyards, irises and poppies lining the lanes. We hiked up to Oppede le Vieux one morning to experience a France sunrise. The kitchen facilities were utilize from the amazing product that we picked up a local markets. There are great restaurants within a 20 minute drive in all directions. I couldn't even count the local wineries that we visited. Chatenauf de Pape wine region is worth the 1/2 drive. There is a town 5 minutes away where you can get petro, groceries, wash the vehicle and experience a great market also. The villa also has a lovely pool where you can float and look over the country side or rest on comfortable loungers and sip a glass of local wine. Wonderful week, can't wait to return as France is my favourite country in Europe.

The most beautiful place in the world!

A beautifully converted farm on a hill just outside of Oppede-le-Vieux in the Luberon valley of Provence. We stayed in the Metayer portion of the property which has 5 other rental options. The house has been furnished and decorated perfectly and comes with a fully eqipped kitchen and laundry. The pool area is nicely situated overlooking the vineyards and olive groves and has a poolroom with shower and toilet. Centrally located and close to all the sights in the Luberon as well as Avignon, Arles and Aix. One of the most beautiful properties I have ever laid eyes upon, period.
