Sun, peaches, wine..

...what's not to like? We have spent August at Chemin des Olives for a number of years now - just two of us, then joined by daughters, sons, their partners, grandkids... Chemin des Olives suits us all: whether you're 2, 32, 62 - it's all good. Yes, the listing description is accurate, the property is clean and everything works. Laurence, Jean Luc and Danielle provide excellent care of the rental, the house , the pool and gardens. We love the location, from Coustellet's Sunday morning market to the beauty of the hills, the vineyards in early morning, the cycling (for those with energy). Of course, the restaurants are excellent and so is the food shopping -especially in Coustellet. Eating at home, outside, is wonderful at Chemin des Olives and, if the weather gets very hot, the air conditioning comes into its own. Of course we would recommend it - our whole family loves it here, year after year.

Wonderful holiday home

This is a truly amazing house. We spent ten summers here and would still be visiting had we not bought our own house in France. The furnishings and kitchen equipment are top-class. There is an abundance of sun-loungers by the gorgeous pool. The owners have thought of everything. The house was always immaculately clean and any minor difficulties were solved very quickly by the charming M and Mme Massaro. The house is very peacefully located within easy reach of both Menerbes and Lacoste, which are well provided with shops and restaurants. We cannot recommend it too highly.

Lavender and vineyards...

In London, in the winter, I fantasise about Chemin des Olives. In 2014 we will return for our 6th visit. It is beautifully situated, has a great pool, lovely outdoor eating area, comfortable bedrooms and living room. We love to cook and the kitchen is well-equipped and very conveniently laid-out. Everything (cleaning, pool maintenance, management of the property, electrical equipment) works very well and we feel free to enjoy a laid-back break, chilling in the heat. The Luberon is a beautiful area: one of us cycles (up Mount Ventoux last year) and the walking is also brilliant. Favourite restaurants: too numerous to mention them all, but particular favourites are Le Mas Tourteron, Le Fournil in Bonnieux, and Cafe Veranda in Menerbes. Don't miss the Sunday market in Coustellet and, if you get the chance, do visit Avignon. If you're in Avignon and want to splash out, dine at the Hotel La Mirande - the ultimate in rose-scented walled gardens!
