5 star holiday

We've had one of our best holidays ever in Castle Grange. The location is stunning - in the garden there's a 360 panorama of olive trees, cypresses, distant mountains and the neighbouring Chateau (which is well worth visiting). The house, with its high, high ceilings is spacious, cool and beautifully furnished with everything you need - just a pleasure to be there. Unlike a lot of pools, the Castle Grange pool is big enough for a really good swim and for all of us was one of the real pleasures of our stay. Really, it's all just as the webpage says. A short walk into Lourmarin (more gorgeous views), and the village is very charming (and great for people watching!). There were six of us and we all fell in love with this part of Provence, the Vaucluse. So much to see! There are bikes at the house and several of us were out every day on them. Definitely go and visit Fontaine de Vaucluse, a river town. Geoffrey, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful. So, a wonderful location in every way and highly recommended.

A paradise in Provence

My family and I spent a wonderful holiday at the Castle Grange in the summer of 2015. The house is very comfortable and and tastefully decorated. It has all the assets for an ideal holiday: great setting, quiet surroundings and walking distance from the village, its restaurants and market. The house has a large and pretty garden and a beautiful pool, we spent a lot of time outside enjoying meals in the sunset. Mr. Geoffrey, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly upon arrival and always helpful whenever we needed his assistance or advice. HIs kindness certainly made our stay even more enjoyable. We are returning to the Castle Grange this summer and very much looking forward to it. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience Provence at its best!

Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Castle Grange in August 2016. This beautiful property is in a great location in picturesque Lourmarin and is superbly equipped. It even came with a set of bicycles for all the family. The owner was very happy to help with any questions about the property and surrounding attractions. We stayed for two weeks and when not relaxing in the garden by the pool we had plenty to explore in the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and would be keen to visit this wonderful part of France again.

Lovely villa at the doorstep of one of Provence’s prettiest villages

The ‘Castle Grange’ has all it takes to enjoy a ‘dolce far niente’ holiday. It is a nice house with a lot of space, very clean and well equipped, you’ll find everything you need. The garden is a true pleasure, with olive and almond trees for those who like some shadow and plenty of places to bath in the sun. And not to forget, a well located swimming pool, providing refreshment when temperature goes up. My major concern when booking the house was the proximity of the house to Lourmarin. I was a bit afraid that we would be annoyed by the noise of the village. But fortunately this was not at all the case. And we soon discovered that being so close to the village comes with lots of advantages. The first of us to wake up took a lazy stroll to the bakery, only a five minute walk, and we all had delicious croissants for breakfast. Not in the mood to prepare lunch or dinner? There are plenty of good restaurants at literally walking distance. And not to forger the market day: you can enjoy all the treasures long before the tourists arrive! Even the romantics will enjoy the Castle Grange: from the garden you can see the abbey and the churches in the village bathing in the evening sun and – for you to discover – there is a very special small alley that takes you to the heart of the small village where you can meet with the locals. Needless to say we truly enjoyed every minute.

The most wonderful home for a vacation

The Luberon is so special, Lourmarin is the most perfect Provencal village, and The Castle Grange is just the most wonderful home for a vacation. As a family of 6, ranging in ages from 84 to 20, we had most happy summer vacation there. The accommodations are just so special – large, spacious, with a loft feeling and different levels, all flowing together. With space for personal privacy too. The house has every comfort and is also very cozy and relaxing at the same time – both inside and outside too. All the fittings, furniture, and equipment is great too. The off-road parking is just great – and avoids any problems with vehicle storage. Whatever the time of day, it is just lovely with inspiring views in all direction – the Castle, the village with the clocks, the beautiful church, the glorious mountains in the distance. Breakfast, lunch and dinner outside – all in different parts of the garden. Also, we relaxed by the private pools for hours on end – with refreshing swimming too. The village is only a moment away – which is always delightful, and just wonderful on market day. Even on that busiest of mornings, you can both fully engage in the excellent market – and then retreat to the seclusion of The Castle Grange. And the local restaurants and cafes are just so accessible and delightful too. Mr Geoffrey who owns and manages the property is so helpful and courteous – a delight to work with. We had such a splendid time last year, we are going right back again this year!
