Smashing!

Our family (parents, daughter, son with girlfriend) stayed for one week in this beautiful house. We have had an unforgettable week. First of all, a very warm welcome that made us feel at home immediately. Second; The house has all the features you need and more. There is a cosy and spacious living room. A brand new and very complete kitchen that along with all the regional delicatessen, assures you from having a delicious stay. The bathrooms are very comfortable and so are the bedrooms. The extra guesthouse is also adorable and a real plus. The pool, garden and terraces are outstanding. Lots of space to hang out, be lazy, read a book, have drinks, play games or do some workouts. Other highlights during a stay in La Source are for example the few (4?)minute walk you have to take to reach the pretty and authentic village of Menerbes (where you’ll find a wonderful bakery, little epicerie, maison de la truffe et du vin, etc.) The beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views, the historic neighbor villages and regional markets. Catchwords are: clean, wonderful, complete, place-to-come-back-to!

Pool with a View

My husband and I stayed at La Source with dear friends, and we could not believe our luck. The house itself is just beautiful, with historic features, comfortable furnishings, and lovely decor. The kitchen had just been renovated, so everything was in top shape. All rooms were spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The beautiful gardens and pool are dreamy, with views to the lavender field and hills beyond. We were there in the heat of summer, so we spent many late afternoons cooling off in the pool and enjoying wine and cheese outdoors. The location of this home is perfect: Walk up the driveway and a staircase, and you are in the charming village of Menerbes, where there are wonderful shops and restaurants. We spent most of our days sightseeing, visiting the Pont du Gard, towns like Gordes and Bonnieux, and the ruins of Glanum. We also took a cooking class with Gilles of Provence Gourmet, and that was really memorable. On the last night of our week in Menerbes, we enjoyed a special dinner at the tiny restaurant Les Saveurs Gourmandes. I strongly recommend La Source and the village of Menerbes in general to anyone visiting The Luberon.
