Glorious Gordes

This villa delivers so much more than the photos show. We had a group of 14 some of whom did not know each other, the two parts of the house make it a great place for a gathering and it gives enough space for people to take some time to themselves. The house itself is gorgeous and the gardens remind me of the Dior villa..... very beautiful indeed. The views are to die for, Gordes to the right, the valley below and the hilltops villages of the Luberon on the left. Close enough to Gordes to walk in which is a real bonus for the drivers of the group. We have stayed at many villas before bt this is the one e would come back to.

The best hosts, the best Maison in the best village in Provence!

My wife and I have just checked out of Maison Olive after five wonderful days in Menerbes and the Luberon Valley. This is our second visit to the area but without a doubt our best! We instantly fell in love with Menerbes. Thanks to Simon and Lovonne we got to discover many of treasures of the village and the area - great walks, outstanding meals and lots of fun in the village markets. It was chilly for almost all of our stay but Maison Olive was warm and wonderful - beautifully decorated and complete with everything we could possibly have needed. Simon and Lovonne are the prefect hosts. There was no end to the time and trouble they went to to make sure we had the best possible experience during our stay - whether it was ideas for day trips or great restaurant advice like Le Bistro 5 a short walk from Maison Olive - our best meal in France so far!

Perfect retreat!

Maison de Menerbes was a wonderful choice for our holiday in Provence. The house was the perfect retreat in which to relax in its peaceful, yet very central location in the village, with calm and unobtrusive decor- not too much nor too little in every way. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed our evenings spent on the terrace watching the sun disappear behind the mountain whilst we ate alfresco or had sundowners before heading out for a meal. The view was so special after a day out, we always looked forward to what it would present. We loved the fact there was a bathroom for each bedroom and there was plenty of cupboard space for a family. The house is also surprisingly bigger than we'd anticipated, having the top floor for watching TV or afternoon reading on the day bed. So perfect, I'm wondering if I should be keeping it as our little secret!

The Real Provence

My husband and I stayed at Le Refuge for 4 weeks. This quiet tranquil area, surrounded by woods, cliffs, wild thyme and lavender was truly a refuge after days of sightseeing, eating at various restaurants, visiting the local boulangeries to get our daily baguette and not to mention the local wines and cheeses. Our interaction with Marie (the landlady) was a lot of fun, as we were practicing fractured versions of each other's language over the occasional glass of wine and nibble of cheese. We would happily revisit the experience and renew what is now a friendship with Marie.

Fatastic week

We spent an idyllic week in Provence in this gorgeous house. It is our second visit and we plan to return again. We love the house with its charming architecture and decor. It is perfectly situated with a sweeping vista of vineyards and mountains. The house and its wonderful pool feel completely private and yet there are many interesting places to visit near by. The house and kitchen are well-equipped for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is fantastic and we especially like the outside dining. This house is very spacious for a whole family. The is one of our favorite areas in the south of France and staying in Bellvue made it all the more wonderful.

Perfection in Menerbes

Our family loved staying at le Clos de Ménerbes. The house is stylish, and also comfortable, with all the expected accoutrements of modern living. There are lots of outdoor areas to enjoy the beautiful weather, including the patio off the kitchen, the pool area and the apple tree terrace. The location of the house on the edge of Menerbes made for a quiet residence close to the restaurants and other attractions of the hilltop town. The house was clean and well-maintained, and even better than its presentation on the website. We heartily recommend the place.
