The Location

Scenes from the market town of Apt .

The apartment is in the heart of the market town of Apt, which is in the middle of the Luberon region. Everything in Apt is an easy walk away. There is the biggest street market of the Luberon on Saturdays. Apt also has supermarkets, cinema, all sorts of specialist stores, restaurants and cafes. Amid the Provencal architecture Apt is a real working town, a good place to embed yourself in local life.

Close by are the famed perched villages of the Luberon - Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede le vieux, Bonnieux, and Goult, as well as the less-known but beautiful St Saturnin les Apt, Saignon, Caseneuve, Joucas and Murs. The Luberon natural park is a small region with a high concentration of beautiful Provence landscapes - the lavender, vineyards and orchards, and dotted around are the medieval hill-top villages.

A day-trip away are Avignon, Aix en Provence, Arles, Nimes, Marseille, Les Baux de Provence, the French Riviera, and the Rhone Wine Trail.

Nearby villages: the castle at Lourmarin, shopping in Roussillon, and a street in Goult.

Special place to stay in Luberon

The apartment is located in the very center of old city of Apt. It's very convenient to explore the Luberon area from here if you're traveling by car. Quite large and totally free parking is just a 3 minutes walk away. There are several nice restaurants, bakeries and other shops nearby. The apartment itself is just perfect: spacious, beautifully decorated, cosy and sparkling clean. There are many nice details, the kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom is really special (there is even salt for the bath). The only thing that it would be nice to have is A/C as it can get really hot. The whole building belongs to the hosts, so there is a nice small patio where you can stay with your cup of tea or glass of wine. As well it's possible to use the washing machine in the common area. Jen and Chris are very friendly hosts who provide you all the necessary information and help. We would definitely stay here again!

Never wanted to leave

A beautiful apartment with a really authentic yet luxury feeling about it. I spent hours in the amazing bath! The four poster bed made us feel so glamorous with a huge bonus of looking out into the gorgeous courtyard. The kitchen/living area was huge and had everything we needed to cook our meals if we didn’t want to explore. Amazing!

Cosy and charming apartment

The apartment in the pedestrian centre of Apt is both functional with all the necessary equipment and also decorated with great charm. Beautiful bedroom with four-poster bed, comfortable, overlooking a calm interior courtyard with a small fountain and plants .... Beautiful bathroom with both bathtub and separate shower.
