The Location

Bonnieux, one of the most beautiful villages in France, and its weekly market.

The house is in the wooded hills 2km (1.3 miles) from the delightful village of Bonnieux, with its bakeries, stores, cafes and excellent restaurants.

Market day in Bonnieux is Friday morning, and there is a market in a neighbouring village every day of the week.

Close by are other beautiful, perched, hilltop villages: Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede le vieux, Menerbes, Goult, etc. all within 15 minutes.

From Bonnieux you are by the cleft in the Luberon mountain that gives you access to the south side: more gorgeous villages like Lourmarin, Cucuron, Ansouis and Cadenet to explore, 20 minutes away, and beyond these, the fine city of Aix en Provence. The Cote d'Azur is 2 hours away.

To the west, within an hour or so are Avignon, St Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, Arles, and the Rhone wine trail.

Our Love for Tanamara

We spent a wonderful week with our family at Tanamara. We walked and swam and enjoyed the stunning sunset views. We drove to nearby towns to explore their sights and farmers' markets. We cooked meals together and talked and laughed. Most importantly, we relaxed and enjoyed each other in this very special house. Thank you, Anne and Christophe for sharing it with us.

Fabulous house

We have just come back from a fabulous fortnight staying in Tannamara. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, all mod cons. And the view from the deck is spectacular. A perfect place for morning yoga and evening drinks. We spent many lazy days by the pool and others exploring the lovely surrounding villages.
