The property has a gated entrance and secure parking. Also on the grounds is the caretakers' cottage, the caretakers are an English couple who can help with problems or local advice. One of the services they can provide is any kind of breakfast you may desire.

The Location

Bonnieux, one of the most beautiful villages in France, and its weekly market.

The property is 3 miles from 3 wonderful villages of the Luberon: Bonnieux, Lacoste and Goult.

has all the amenities you need: bakeries, stores, cafes and excellent restaurants as well as the very picturesque Friday morning market.

is also very well served by restaurants and its Cafe de la Poste, and is one of the hidden gems of the Luberon. Lacosteis a perfectly preserved medieval village, home to the notorious Marquis de Sade's castle, with few amenities but plenty of atmosphere.

Close by are other beautiful, perched, hilltop villages: Gordes, Roussillon, Oppede le vieux, Menerbes, etc. all within 15 minutes. There is a market in a neighbouring village every day of the week.

From Bonnieux you are by the cleft in the Luberon mountain that gives you access to the south side: more gorgeous villages like Lourmarin, Cucuron, Ansouis and Cadenet to explore, 20 minutes away, and beyond these, the fine city of Aix en Provence. The Cote d'Azur is 2 hours away.

To the west, within an hour or so are Avignon, St Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, Arles, and the Rhone wine trail.

Just Fabulous!

We stayed at this beautiful property in June this year and it was everything we hoped for and so much more. The property itself is stunning, the cottage we stayed in was exceptionally clean and it was a lovely place to just relax and unwind. Suzy & Paul made us feel so very welcome throughout our stay and even had a lovely quiche & bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived late in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble, and we loved the little bag of croissants that were left by the door each morning fresh from the local boulangerie. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely be back!

The Provence You Are Looking For!

This rental is truly one of the most beautiful and stylish rentals we have stayed in. But even more than the high quality of the rental are the grounds which are straight out of a Van Gogh painting. To look out the windows at the farmhouses in the distance and at your very own lavender field is a dream! In fact, each morning I woke up to a hot air balloon over the fields to start the day. Also, from the small bedroom windows, there is a view of Bonnieux from one window and a view of Lacoste from the other. But best of all are the extremely hospitable, kind, and endearing caretakers, Paul and Suzy, who are a delight to get to know. If we were to think of one improvement, it would only be air conditioning to make it more comfortable to sleep. Otherwise, the Suite Gordes is utter perfection! We would prefer it compared to Suite Lacoste or Suite Bonnieux because it is in a spot all to itself and completely private on the grounds.

A great week in Provence

A wonderful week from beginning to end. Kind hosts and a warm welcome. Cherries picked fresh from the trees in the garden. We will miss the afternoons lazily shading on our terrace, such a relaxing place to spend our time. We are already planning our return visit.
