The Location

Gordes is one of the most beautiful villages in France.

The beautiful perched village of Gordes is 700 metres away, or 8 minutes' walk. Gordes has a great choice of restaurants, specialist shops, cultural events, and is alive all year round. It has the best amenities of any Luberon village. This location allows you to be by the village but in a calm setting.

The Luberon is known for the beauty of its perched villages, in addition to Gordes, close by are Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux, Roussillon, Goult and many others. Each is a short drive away. The towns of Isle sur la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse, 15 minutes away, are also must-sees.

You'll find a market every day at a different village, including the colourful Gordes market on Tuesday mornings.

Away from the Luberon, the rest of Provence is at most a day-trip away: the cities of Avignon, Aix, Arles, Nimes, Marseille are about an hour's drive or less; the natural wonders of the Les Baux de Provence, Gorges du Verdon, the Alps and the Rhone wine trail; the French Riviera (Cote d'Azur) from Monte Carlo to St Tropez. Even Italy and Spain are in striking distance.

Perfect holiday

We spent 1 week in this very pretty house located 10 minutes walk from the centre of Gordes, in a secure domain. The decor is perfect: neat, natural, very "cozy chic". The garden is perfectly maintained, the swimming pool is large and heated. The concierge service, managed by Krissy and her team, is always attentive and very responsive. A lovely places for a holiday in the Luberon. We loved it!

Excellent Accommodation

We were two couples who were in the three bedroom house for 12 days. We loved the layout of the house as each couple had very separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen, living room and dining room were very spacious and bright. The pool is 20x40 and was excellent. The grounds were lovely and the location of the property was very quiet. It was an easy 7-10 minute walk into Gordes where there were quaint restaurants and excellent bakeries. Krissy, the concierge was excellent. When my wife had some illness issues Krissy gave us the name of her family doctor who was excellent. The grocery store in nearby Costellet is outstanding. We all loved the house and would recommend it to anyone!

A relaxing location

Lovely property suitable for two families with children within walking distance to the village. It is well situated for visiting the rest of the Luberon. The proximity of the chlorine free pool to the house was greatly appreciated. There is a nice sheltered dining area on the terrace. On the practical side, there is a good supermarket in Coustellet and next door to that a good greengrocer and fishmonger. There is an excellent butcher in the neighbouring village of Cabrieres d’ Avignon. Communication with the owners of the property was easy and helpful.
