The Location

Gordes is one of the most beautiful villages in France.

The Loft is in a quiet country hamlet 4 miles from the stunning village of Gordes, which is the biggest of the Luberon hill-top villages, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and cultural events, so it is an ideal base from which to explore the Luberon and Provence.

The Luberon is known for the beauty of its perched villages, in addition to Gordes, close by are Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux, Roussillon, Goult and many others. Each is a short drive away.

You'll find a market every day at a different village, including the one in Gordes on Tuesday mornings.

Away from the Luberon, the rest of Provence is at most a day-trip away: the cities of Avignon, Aix, Arles, Nimes, Marseille; the natural wonders of the Les Baux de Provence, Gorges du Verdon, the Alps and the Rhone wine trail; the French Riviera (Cote d'Azur) from Monte Carlo to St Tropez. Even Italy and Spain are in striking distance.

Lovely stay on villa les Martins

We had a very pleasant stay in the villa near Gordes. Everything was good and all is made to make the stay nice! Edvard was always there in case of needs and is a really good host. I really recommend this location! We’ll come back! Thanks

Fabulous studio, beautiful setting, great location!

This place was even more than we expected. Edvard was a wonderful host whose property is kept in pristine condition. Our studio was spotless and very well appointed. The location of the villa was central to many historic sights. A car is recommended for this location and with it you are a very short drive to both cities and towns to satisfy any itinerary you might have. The villa was quiet and peaceful and a great place to come home to after our travels around the area. The hot tub was a wonderful way to end the evening. We hope to book again!

The loft is comfortable with everything we need to spend pleasant moments in Provence. The kitchen has cooking utensils, a nice porch for dinners and a Jacuzzi outdoor always with warm water. The building is very interesting and the neighborhood around very calm. You need a car to leave this rural area with no trade around, but soon you got other cities, such as Gordes with access to great restaurants and so on.
