Garden & Pool

The Fontblanche estate covers a plateau of 10 acres and includes a small vineyard, lavender field, pool and artificial grass tennis court. The property looks down to the east over fields of wheat, fruit trees, and the vineyards that dot the Luberon valley, as well as the hill-top villages of Gordes, Joucas and Roussillon.


Below the main house is the swimming pool, outdoor grill, pool kitchen and two shaded eating areas.

There is both a brick-built grill and a Weber barbecue under the pergola by the stone table and summer kitchen.

You’ll discover all the plants of the region in the garden: Provencal herbs, rosemary, thyme, sage, mint, lavender, scenting the air and there to be used for whatever you’re inspired to cook.


Top terrace accessed from the dining room or the master bedroom.

Up top, the terrace that comes off the master bedroom can also be accessed from the dining room, so it can be a communal space too. This is the perfect spot for rounding off the day with a glass in hand.

As the property is on a plateau there are views over the surrounding countryside of vineyards, wheat fields and orchards, to the perched village of Gordes 1km away and further off, Joucas and Roussillon.

The tennis court is set away to the side of the house, and is laid to artificial grass, which is the best surface for ageing knees and joints.

There is plenty of parking and the entrance is gated, followed by a tree-lined drive to the house, so there is no road noise from what is in any case a very quiet country road.

The property has a delightful English-speaking caretaker who is on hand for any problems that may arise during a rental.
