Fabulous villa for 4 with heated pool

An impeccable, luxury 2-bedroom Luberon villa close to Gordes. With its large heated pool, fantastic view, and air-conditioned bedrooms, the villa is perfect for stays from April through to October.

Living Room

On the ground floor, looking across from kitchen to living room, and living room to the kitchen.

The downstairs is one big space with double-height ceiling and vast sliding windows opening out to the terrace, pool and view.

In this space are the living room and kitchen with dining table.

On one side the living room has two sofas and TV. There are no TV channels, but there is Apple TV, Netflix and an Xbox. The house has WiFi internet throughout.

Across the room is the well-equipped kitchen with oven, 4-ring induction stove, American fridge-freezer, dishwasher, ice-maker, wine fridge, and Nespresso.

Also downstairs is a guest WC and utility room with washing machine and dryer.

Bedrooms

The house sleeps 4 people in 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, each with bathroom. Both bedrooms are upstairs, and are reached by separate stairs, giving privacy from each other.

Master bedroom with double bed.

Bedroom 1 (above) has a 1.8m-wide (6ft) bed and a view south to the Luberon mountain. Behind the bed are bath, double basins and WC all in the bedroom.

Bathroom in bedroom 1.

Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds.

Bedroom 2 (above) has two single beds and the same Luberon view as the other bedroom. Behind the bed are shower, double basins and separate WC.

Bathroom in bedroom 2.

Pool & Garden

Pool with infinity edge and view.

The villa faces south and has an outstanding wide view over the Luberon valley and mountain, with vineyards and hills, and a lavender field in the foreground.

The heated pool measures 14m x 4m (46 x 13ft), and has an infinity edge at one end for the view. For security there is an electronic sliding cover. Around the pool are decking and sunloungers with parasols.

Stepping out from the living room there is a seamless transition to the terrace with its striking shading sails.

Here there is a comfortable seating area and the outside dining table with Weber gas BBQ alongside.

To overcome the problem of rosé wine losing its chill in the summer the outdoor dining table has a built-in cooling system for wine bottles, with a refrigerated water bath in the middle of the table.

There is plenty of secure, gated parking next to the house. Very occasionally the owner will be in residence in the house to the rear of the property, with the same access through the gate and up the path, but otherwise you would not be aware of his presence.

The Location

Gordes is one of the most beautiful villages in France.

The house is in the heart of the Luberon region of Provence, in rich countryside surrounded by stunning perched villages. Roughly equidistant at 5 minutes drive are the villages of Gordes, Goult, Menerbes and Oppede-le-vieux. Gordes has a great choice of restaurants, specialist shops, cultural events, and is alive all year round. It has the best amenities of any Luberon village. This location allows you to be by the village but in a calm setting.

The Luberon is known for the beauty of its perched villages, and also close by are Bonnieux, LacosteRoussillon, Goult and the famed towns of Isle sur la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse.

You'll find a market every day at a different village, including the colourful Gordes market on Tuesday mornings.

Away from the Luberon, the rest of Provence is at most a day-trip away: the cities of Avignon, Aix, Arles, Nimes, Marseille are about an hour's drive or less; the natural wonders of the Les Baux de Provence, Gorges du Verdon, the Alps and the Rhone wine trail; the French Riviera (Cote d'Azur) from Monte Carlo to St Tropez. Even Italy and Spain are in striking distance.

Idyllic

My wife and I stayed at St Blaise for 3 weeks in Sep/Oct 2017. The villa is luxuriously appointed, private, tranquil and well located. The views are sensational. The pool and outside dining areas are spacious and well designed - as are the bedrooms and lounge/kitchen areas. Our expectations were certainly exceeded. We will be back !!

Stunning property, brilliant location

We had a fantastic stay at St Blaise. This is a very special place in a stunning and very central location. The view is breathtaking and the house is very comfortable and beautifully appointed. There are many lovely things to see close by, but why go anywhere when it's so beautiful right where you are! Very hospitable host. I would definitely recommend the Property to anyone visiting Provence.

Stunning Property

We had an absolutely fabulous week staying at this gorgeous property as part of our honeymoon in Provence. The property was furnished beautifully, all of the amenities we could have desired were there, the views were absolutely stunning, and the property was within a short drive of a number of charming nearby villages. The owner was fantastic and provided us with a number of recommendations for day trips, restaurants, and wineries in the area, and provided us with some groceries to start off our week comfortably, which was very welcomed after arriving late in the afternoon. We would love to return to this region and would certainly recommend staying at St Blaise to anyone looking for a relaxing, warm country retreat.
