Gorgeous house with pool near Gordes

Close to the village of Gordes, a cosy hamlet house with elegant interiors and courtyard garden with pool. The house sleeps 6 in 3 very comfortable bedrooms.

Living Rooms

The house dates back to 1622 when it served as the rabbit farm for the monks of Senanque Abbey (hence Les Lapins). With the charm of its ancient walls and modern interior, it provides an ideal vacation home close to all the Luberon's attractions.

The housekeeper can offer concierge services: transfers, shopping, and catered meals.

The house sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms are upstairs and one is ground-floor, with separate access from the front courtyard.

The Location

Gordes is one of the most beautiful villages in France.

The house is in a country hamlet 5 km/3 miles from the stunning village of Gordes, which is the biggest of the Luberon hill-top villages, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and cultural events, so it is an ideal base from which to explore the Luberon and Provence.

The Luberon is known for the beauty of its perched villages, in addition to Gordes, close by are Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux, Roussillon, Goult and many others. Each is a short drive away.

You'll find a market every day at a different village, including the one in Gordes on Tuesday mornings.

Away from the Luberon, the rest of Provence is at most a day-trip away: the cities of Avignon, Aix, Arles, Nimes, Marseille; the natural wonders of the Les Baux de Provence, Gorges du Verdon, the Alps and the Rhone wine trail; the French Riviera (Cote d'Azur) from Monte Carlo to St Tropez. Even Italy and Spain are in striking distance.

Les Lapins

The house is presented exactly as the photographs portray, both stylish and elegant. The property is immaculately clean with everything in working order. The owners communication before rental and at the time of booking could not be faulted and I would highly recommend this house rental. We were a family of Mr & Mrs an 18 year old, 15 year old and 11 year old. The last week of August was not too busy in the delightful towns out and about and the weather was superb. The pool at the house is immaculate with towels provided and 4 loungers for lazy and peaceful afternoons in the secluded and very private courtyard setting. The whole vibe of the house is relaxing and I hope that other people enjoy this rental as much as we did. The furniture and appliances are in great condition as this was the first year of rental for the property and I hope for the owners sake that other guests respect the house as much as we did and previous guests before us. The house provided our whole family with a super week away in a truly stunning part of France. Keep up the great standards owners and you will be fully booked.

Tres Magnifique!

Every detail of this home evidences the owners love for their property and exquisite taste. Our morning marketing outings, golf excursions, and cooking classes concluded with evenings around the pool and a quick snack created in their delightful well appointed kitchen (with full size fridge and ice maker). Our Provence trip will forever be a wonderful memory highlighted by the comforts of Les Lapins and it's ideal location for Luberon exploration!
