Spacious and contemporary summer villa for 10

 

A roomy villa for 10 people that is perfect for summer with its good outdoor entertainment spaces, big pool and large grounds. The house is just 2km from the great Provence market town of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. (Available for minimum of 2 weeks in July-August).

Living Rooms

Entrance hall with living room beyond. Large living room with different seating areas.

The house has a huge, light living room with sofas around the fireplace at one end, and a separate sitting area with TV, as well as dining table.

Heading out to the terrace from the kitchen. Well-equipped kitchen.

Off the living room is the kitchen, which opens onto the terrace and outdoor dining table. The kitchen is equipped with 4-ring stove, wall-mounted oven and microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. In a separate room are the washing machine and dryer.



Bedrooms

There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, sleeping 10. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs, and downstairs are one double and a children's bunk room.

The dual aspect master bedroom (above) has a 1.6m/5.25ft-wide double bed and opens onto the upstairs terrace. Its en suite bathroom has bath, walk-in shower, double basins and WC.

 

Bedroom 2 is the blue room, with blue bathroom.

Bedroom 2, upstairs, is the blue room, with 1.4m-wide (4.6ft) double bed and en suite bathroom with bath and basin. Separate WC is on the landing.

 

Bedroom 3 opening onto the upstairs terrace is a twin room, and its en suite bathroom.

The third upstairs bedroom is bedroom 3, a twin room with two singles opening onto the upstairs terrace. Its bathroom has bath and basin. Separate WC is on the landing.

Downstairs are bedrooms 4 and 5.

Bedroom 4 (right) is a spacious kids' room with bunk beds, and a writing desk so it can double as a work space.

Bedroom 5 (below) is a double with 1.6m-wide (5.25ft) bed.

These two bedrooms share a bathroom (below right) with shower, basin and WC.

Garden & Pool

The house is in 2.4 ha (6 acres) of grounds, going from terrace to garden to olive groves and mature trees.

The pool measures 12m x 6m (40 x 20ft), with sunloungers and an outdoor shower. Close by are children's swings.

 

Two outside seating areas by the house: table and chairs for a drink, and the shaded dining table by the kitchen, pizza oven and BBQ.

The house is in 6 acres of grounds, with an olive grove beyond the garden. Looking out over the garden from the upstairs terrace.

 

The upstairs terrace gives a view over the garden and beyond. After the formal garden the land is meadow and olive grove.

 

The house has a secure gated entrance and plentiful parking.




The Location

The Provence town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is known as the antiques capital of France, with a great concentration of antiques stores and a famous Sunday market for antiques and bric-a-brac, as well as food. The apartment is in the centre of the old quarter, the most charming district of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, full of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a place that is buzzing year-round.

The perched hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Goult, and Oppede le vieux are all 15-30 minutes away.

Fontaine de Vaucluse is a couple of miles upstream, the medieval city of Avignon is 30 minutes, and within an hour are Aix-en-Provence, St Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, and the start of the Rhone wine trail.

You can make a comfortable day-trip to the Cote d'Azur from Monte Carlo to St Tropez, Marseille, the fishing village of Cassis and the calanques, Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, the Alps, the Gorges du Verdon, and the Rhone wine trail all the way to Lyon.

Included in the rate: bedlinen, towels, utilities, WiFi internet, and end of stay-clean.

To secure a booking you would pay a 25% booking deposit, with the balance payable up to 8 weeks before your stay.

Cancellation policy: If we can find another renter for your dates we will return any money sent (minus bank charges).
 Rental periods run from 4pm Friday to 10am Friday. Minimum 2 weeks rental in July-August.

The security deposit against breakage or damage is 2000 euros, and is returned after your stay.

The house is for a maximum of 10 people. Pets and smoking are not allowed in the house.
