Ideal base for two in heart of the old town

A 1-bedroom air conditioned apartment in the heart of the wonderful market town of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, with balcony and view down the main pedestrian street of the old part of town. This is a great base for Provence in a beautiful location full of restaurants, cafes and markets.

Living Room

 

The living room and kitchen are open plan and lead out to the small balcony with table and chairs, and front-row view of the rue de la Republique, the pedestrian road in the centre of the old part of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The living room has sofa and armchair, TV/DVD with TNTSat channels, music speaker with iPod dock, and WiFi internet. The bedroom and bathroom are off this room.

The kitchen is equipped with oven, induction stove, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine.



Bedroom

 

The bedroom is down a few steps and has a 1.6m-wide (5.25ft) bed with view down the pedestrian street. The bathroom has shower, WC and basin, as well as the washing machine. There is a tumble dryer in a room across the landing from the apartment which is for guests' use.

The Location

The apartment is right in the heart of the superb market town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, known as the antiques capital of France, with a great concentration of antiques stores and a famous Sunday market for antiques and bric-a-brac, as well as food. This picturesque town of waterways and a historic centre has many restaurants, cafes and stores, and the town is alive year-round.

The perched hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Goult, and Oppede le vieux are all 15-30 minutes away.

Fontaine de Vaucluse is a couple of miles upstream, the medieval city of Avignon is 30 minutes, and within an hour are Aix-en-Provence, St Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, and the start of the Rhone wine trail.

You can make a comfortable day-trip to the Cote d'Azur from Monte Carlo to St Tropez, Marseille, the fishing village of Cassis and the calanques, Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, the Alps, the Gorges du Verdon, and the Rhone wine trail all the way to Lyon.

Such attention to detail!

Previous travellers have covered this wonderful property extremely well. Ditto, ditto,ditto!!I has it all, wonderful location very close to the bus stop, leisurely 10 minute walk to the station, all amenities close by, plus an apartment that had every single item that you could wish for. When it was renovated, attention to detail must have been in the mind of the owners. They did not scrimp on cost to ensure that the property was as comfortable if not more so than most homes. Details such as, adequate power points in perfect locations, lighting to suit all purposes, excellent quality fittings in all rooms. Communication between Eva and myself was very quick and I did appreciate that Eva was available to assist if required. As a lone traveller, one that uses public transport only, a person that hires apartment accommodation regularly this was the ultimate. As for Isle sur la Sorgue, loved it!! Many thanks,

A superb apartment in an ideal setting in Provence

Our stay was wonderful. The apartment was superb and in a lovely location amid the bustling old town of L'isle sur la Sorgue. It had all one would wish for in an apartment and the bed was so comfortable. Considering it is in the heart of the town we could hardly hear the quiet mumble of people below. The markets on Sunday and Thursday were brilliant as was the abundance of places to eat in the evenings. We enjoyed Umami and La Balade de Saveurs the best. During the week there was superb Jazz singing from Leonard Blaire right on our doorstep and other music in various places during the week. Also the display of the use of the Nego chin (boats) on the Sorgue and the races on the river with them was fun too. This apartment was an ideal base to visit the Luberon villages, Fontain de Vaucluse, Mont Ventoux and the Camargue.We would definitely recommend this apartment. Niels and Eva were so kind and ensured out stay was a success.

Very pleasant and relaxing

We have recently stayed in the one bedroom apartment. We arrived in the evening and were met by Eva and Niels who showed us around the apartment. They had also left a welcome gift which was appreciated. The apartment was perfect. Ideal location, right in the centre of the town. It has a lovely little balcony for breakfast/dinner and watching the world go by. The shower was particularly good, especially after a long days sightseeing. Eva left us alone to enjoy our holiday but was only a phone call away if needed. She always answers any emails very promptly. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a typically French break. There is also a two bedroom apartment available which we intend to rent with friends. Thank you Eva.

Included in the rental rates: bedlinen, towels, utilities, a.c., WiFi internet, and after-stay clean.

Rental periods: minimum of 3 nights, except 24 June-25 August when it is 4 nights minimum.

To secure a booking you would send a 30% deposit, with the balance payable up to 8 weeks before your stay.
 There is a refundable security deposit of 200 euros against any breakages or damage.

Cancellation policy: if we can find another booking for your dates we will return any money sent (minus bank charges).

The studio is for a maximum of 2 people. We regret that pets and smoking are not allowed in the property.
