Can it get Better?

Quintessential French Village experience. My wife and I wanted a base to explore the Provence area and this was just about perfect for us. Eva was a wonderful host and the communication with her, from emails to calls and texts, was great. We arrived in Avignon by TGV, rented a car, called Eva and made arrangements for her to meet us at the apartment. We texted when we arrived in L'isle Sur La Sorgue and Eva met us outside the apartment. She took us in, showing us every detail and explaining the town. She is a wonderful person and you will be very glad you rented from her. The apartment balcony was a delight. We bought eggs and croissants and ate our breakfasts on the balcony while we watched the town come to life. The apartment is only a half block to the river and all the restaurants along the river. We stayed over a weekend because we wanted to explore the famous Sunday market. It was fabulous to be right in the middle of it all. The town location is great for exploring as you are within an hour of Gordes, Roussillon, Fontaine De Vaucluse, Lacoste, Menerbes, and the ChateauNeuf Du Pape wine growing area. We went to all of them. L'isle sur la Sorgue itself is a wonderful village to explore and walk around, big enough to have plenty of shops and restaurants. The actual apartment is fantastic for two people. It has a separate kitchen area, so you can have a breakfast before you head out for the day, with a small refrigerator to keep your drinks. It has a nice size sitting area with a couch and comfortable chair, a good size bathroom with a great shower. The bedroom is a step down sleeping area with a fantastically comfortable bed. In fact we ended up sleeping in longer than we anticipated because the bed was so comfortable. Also, since we rented a car, the parking is only about a hundred yards or so from the apartment, just cross the river and the street, and it is very cheap, only a couple euros a day. This apartment has everything you want and need in a vacation rental - plenty of space, excellent shower, comfortable bed, kitchen, balcony, great town with tons of shops and restaurants, great home base to explore Provence, and a truly wonderful host in Eva. You really should book it.

Charming apartment in the heart of L'Isle sur la Sourgue

My husband and I stayed four nights at La Dorée 1 and wish we could have stayed much longer. The apartment has everything we needed and more for a delightful stay. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable of all the places we stayed on our month long vacation. The shower is wonderful: great water pressure, plenty of space, and very clean. Having access to a washer and dryer was a huge plus. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the morning watching the town come alive. The apartment is located in the heart of the town, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the river. Parking was free at an off-site location very near the apartment. Communication with Eva and Niels was fast and easy. I would love to come back and stay longer next time!

Perfect

L'isle sur la Sorgue is a beautiful town, and this apartment in the heart of everything is just perfect for two. Everything you could need is there, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The little balcony overlooking the street is the best people watching place, while enjoying a glass or two of the local wine. Loved the place, people, and apartment. Thank you Eva, we will be back and would recommend others to stay in your lovely property.
