The Location
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
The apartment is right in the heart of the superb market town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, known as the antiques capital of France, with a great concentration of antiques stores and a famous Sunday market for antiques and bric-a-brac, as well as food. This picturesque town of waterways and a historic centre has many restaurants, cafes and stores, and the town is alive year-round.
The perched hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Goult, and Oppede le vieux are all 15-30 minutes away.
Fontaine de Vaucluse is a couple of miles upstream, the medieval city of Avignon is 30 minutes, and within an hour are Aix-en-Provence, St Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, and the start of the Rhone wine trail.
You can make a comfortable day-trip to the Cote d'Azur from Monte Carlo to St Tropez, Marseille, the fishing village of Cassis and the calanques, Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, the Alps, the Gorges du Verdon, and the Rhone wine trail all the way to Lyon.

C'est si bon!
We spent 2 weeks in Eva's lovely apartment in the heart of L'isle sur la Sorgue. The accommodations were superb, nothing lacking for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed eating at restaurants just steps from the apartment, but we also cooked and ate "in" on a number of occasions. The location also provided us with many day trips within an easy hour drive. There are so many options in every direction, hard to choose! It was a treat to return and relax after our day trips.

Great location in lovely town
The apartment was all that we expected and more. Eva was a kind and gracious host who ensured our visit was exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The facilities were modern and even with the extremely hot weather we had the air conditioning was more than adequate. We hope to return soon.
