The Location
![]() | ![]() |
The house is in the countryside between the stunning villages of Menerbes and Lacoste in the heart of the Luberon. Both are medieval, hill-top villages, officially recognised as among The Most Beautiful Villages of France. Lacoste is 1 mile away, Menerbes is 3 miles.
All the other picture-perfect 'perched' hill-top villages of the Luberon are within 15 minutes by car: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Oppede le vieux, Goult, etc.
Within an hour are the splendid towns of Avignon, Arles, St Remy, Tarascon, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, as well as the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail. Even closer are Lourmarin, the antiques mecca of Isle sur la Sorgue, and Fontaine de Vaucluse, where the Sorgue river emerges fully formed from deep underground.
Tthere is a market every day in a different village close by. The best for local produce is the farmer's market 10 minutes away in Coustellet on Sunday mornings (April-December).

Lacoste, perched high above the Luberon plain, is still dominated by the castle of the Marquis de Sade.

Love this house
A superb old farmhouse, extremely well decorated to the highest standards, managing to combine a chic look with outstanding comfort and convenience. The location is both rural but allows easy access to local amenities. The Luberon is a delightful and interesting area of southern France.

Peaceful
We've spent 3 weeks in that beautiful and peaceful place. The house is very well managed and with a great team to welcome you. The environment is calm with a great view the Luberon hill and oaks all around the house. Our kids loved the heated swimming pool. I'd strongly recommend the suite papillon that is incredible. I'll come back again next year.
