The outside space is a lovely walled courtyard, with shading pine tree, hot tub under the pergola, a couple of tables for meals, decking and gravel underfoot. It is a private and very appealing space, by day or night with its atmospheric lighting.

The courtyard has big wicker seats to sink into, and a hammock in a shady corner.The hot tub is sunk into the decking and takes 5 people - 3 seated and 2 lying down. It is shaded by the pergola overhead.

Opposite the hot-tub is a modernist fountain (below left), lending the sound of running water to the courtyard (can be turned off too).

For outdoor cooking there are a plancha and deep-fat fryer (below right). And of course, boules, because Provence isn't Provence without a game of boules.
