Outstanding Provence villa with tremendous view


Les Felibres is a fabulous rental house two minutes' stroll into the centre of the village but totally peaceful and with a fantastic view all the way to the Alpilles, and a heated pool. The house sleeps 10 in 5 air-conditioned bedrooms.

Living Rooms


Dining room and kitchen with 1890s bar.

At the heart of the house is the beautiful bar from the 1890s which is incorporated into the kitchen and dining room (above). The kitchen is very well equipped with large range cooker/oven, special wine fridge, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave. Separately in a utility room is the washing machine and dryer, and second fridge-freezer.


The dining room opens through sliding doors onto the front terrace and barbecue area.

Through an arch you go into the living room with TV corner, and a fireplace in the middle of the room. This makes a big, open-space living area were everyone can gather. The large TV with DVD has French and international channels like CNN, as well as Netflix. The house also has WiFi internet.


The archway connects the dining room to the living room with its central fireplace.

Upstairs there is also a gym room with pool table and piano (below right). This is equipped with a multi-exercise station, bench and free weights. You can also rent electric bikes on site.

The house has underfloor heating which in the summer can be reversed to be underfloor cooling. Being built into the hill at the back means it does not get too hot even in mid-summer.


There are 5 bedrooms sleeping 10 people, and 3 bathrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning. As the house is built into the side of a hill you enter on the upper floor at the back, and go downstairs to the living rooms and terrace. There are two bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms, one with a 1.4m-wide bed (4.6ft) and one with a 1.6m-wide (5.25ft) bed (above left). In between these two rooms is a bathroom (below left) with corner bath and basin, and a separate WC in the landing. Both bedrooms face south-west and open onto a lovely high terrace with views as far as the Alpilles.

Downstairs are three other bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also another, separate, WC downstairs.


The downstairs bedrooms each face south-west and open onto the front terrace. They comprise a twin room (above right), a double with 1.4m-wide bed (above left) and a double with 1.6m-wide bed (below left).

Garden & Pool

Outside you appreciate the terrific setting of this house. It is right on the outside of the village but very quiet amid olive trees and oaks, and high above the Luberon valley. There is a lovely big terrace at the front facing the view, and below that on a different level is the heated pool.


The heated pool measures 10m x 5m (33 x 16ft) and is protected by an infra-red motion alarm. It has teak sun loungers around it, and a table tennis table on the lawn.


Front terrace is a great place to take in the view to the Alpilles.

The terrace (pictured above and below) is a great summer hangout, with its far and dominant view, different spots for sitting, lounging and eating, and the perfect place for a sundowner.

The house is surrounded by olives and oaks. Perfect spot to watch the sun go down.

There is a barbecue on the terrace and steps down to the pool and lawn level.

The house has an electronic gated entrance and plenty of parking at the back (above right).

The Location


The house is in the Luberon village of Robion.

Robion is an active village in the Luberon with two aspects - the shops and restaurants along the high street, and the old quarter of Robion tucked away at the foot of the mountain, which is quiet and tranquil. Robion is well served with three bakeries, two butchers, several restaurants, three cafes, and a couple of grocery stores. The house is 150 metres, 2 minutes walk, to the charming old part of the village.

Walk to the end of the dead-end road and you are on the Luberon mountain with its hiking and mountain-biking trails.

The Luberon's famous hill-top villages are all within 20 minutes: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Goult, Oppede le vieux, etc. And the towns like the antiques mecca of Isle sur la Sorgue, and Fontaine de Vaucluse, where the Sorgue river emerges fully formed from deep underground.

Within an hour are the splendid Provence cities of Avignon, Arles, St Remy, Tarascon, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, as well as the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail.

If you are coming to Provence to relax rather than take everything in, there is a market every day in a different village close by. The best for local produce is the farmer's market 5 minutes away in Coustellet on Sunday mornings (April-December). And there are wineries all around where you can taste their recent offerings and buy by the bottle.

Will definitely return

We absolutely loved staying at Serge’s home. The location was magical and the house was a perfect set up for our large group of five adults and five kids. The kids absolutely loved the heated pool which is well secured with a double locked gate. The adults also loved the chefs kitchen that included everything needed to make large family meals to share around the dining table and the outdoor patio space. The house is located on a quiet street and it is very easy to walk to many nearby conveniences including a fun playground, boulangerie, unique kids candy store, and a slightly longer walk to the produce store and butcher. Serge was extremely helpful with the local recommendations including setting us up with his colleague who owned a bike store where we rented bikes for the week. Speaking of, Robion is a perfect place for setting off on many different types of bike trips, including mountain biking and family road biking to the nearby villages along quiet streets. There are also a number of interesting jogging and hiking options from right outside the front door. This location honestly has something for everyone!! We will make it a point to come back here again!

Great family home to explore the area

Fantastic views, great living room areas and a nice extra space with a piano and billiards table... We had a lovely time as a family of 7 exploring the beautiful local towns and going on long walks from this well-kept home. Look forward to staying again sometime soon!

Fantastic home and location!

We spent 3 fabulous weeks at Les Felibres in Robion. Our family came and went and we were as few as 2 and as many as 9 and the house felt perfect for all of us! It's very spacious, comfortable, decorated to a very high standard, with large gathering spaces inside and on the terraces or by the pool, but it didn't feel too big or sterile. It was perfect for our family. The house was very well equipped with a beautiful heated pool, a gym, a large and beautifully landscaped terrace overlooking beautiful views of the valley. The landscaping and flowers were lovely! We were delighted to find that walking trails through the Petite Luberon were basically outside our door! A wonderful baker and green grocer were a pleasant walk away and the bike trails were a minute walk from the house. Robion is centrally located in the Luberon so that you can easily visit or bike to many of the Luberion hill villages. Last but not least, Serge and Corinne, the owners, could not have been lovelier or more helpful people. You won't be disappointed!! We're already hoping for a trip back.

Included in the rate: bedlinen, towels, pool towels, utilities, high-speed internet, weekly clean and end of stay-clean.

To secure a booking you would pay a 30% deposit, with the balance payable up to 1 month before your stay.

Cancellation policy: If we can find another renter for your dates we will return any money sent (minus bank charges).
 Rental periods run from 5pm Saturday to 10am Saturday.

The security deposit against breakage or damage is 1500 euros, and is returned after your stay.

The house is for a maximum of 10 people. Pets and smoking are not allowed in the house.
