Auberge de la Bartavelle

"Our best meal in the Luberon was at La Bartavelle restaurant on a very unassuming street in Goult. Reservations absolutely necessary! When we arrived there was a sign saying they were full for the one seating that evening. An incredible dining experience for 50 euros per person."

"The food and the cuisine is some of the best you will ever have in the Luberon or even maybe the whole world. The dishes dance on your taste buds while you look out on the beautiful view."

Dan Allen, Matt Craen - 2009
"There are many restaurants that pretend to offer great food and charge unreasonably high prices for what turns out to be a disappointing experience. This restaurant delivers fantastic food delivered with gracious and welcoming service. It IS pricey but absolutely worth it if you want to enjoy the best quality restaurant in the area."

Jeremy, England - 2010
"A very quiet, nicely decorated restaurant seemingly for people in the know, as it's a bit hard to find this place; it's off the tourist section of town. Served by the owner, who is quite busy running all the tables herself but manages to handle it with aplomb.Prices appear to have come down, as the fixed price menu was €42. The food was upmarket classic provençal, perfectly prepared and simple, which I believe is described as "semi-gastro" in the restaurant parlance."
