Le Bouquet de Basilic
"Walk up to the main traffic circle, then uphill, as if you were leaving town. Right next door to the mayor's building, you'll find "Le bouquet de basilic", with a charming garden behind the road. Ignore the "A Day in Provence" tourist souvenir store next door, it's not affiliated. The lunch plate is a good deal at €14, with a salad, smoked salmon, quiche slice, melted goat cheese on bread, and a few more sundries. Avoid the "salade fraicheure" at €15, which is disappointing, but instead get the salmon tartare appetizer, which is quite large and makes for a good light lunch (it's a mix of both raw and lightly smoked salmon, with a rustic mustard sauce). The deserts are fairly nice, and if you like to taste, go for the "Café gourmand" €7, which gives you a taste of 4 deserts with your coffee."
PDP
"Nothing fancy or extraordinary, but decent French fare at a reasonable price, in a pleasant setting."
John Buckman - 2009
