Barben Zoo
You probably don’t like zoos, but your kids probably do. Barben Zoo is not a bad compromise as the animals are not locked in cages, they have reasonable enclosures to roam in, so you can tell yourself it could be worse. There is also a little train that you can ride up to the top or back down (the zoo works its way up a hill).
At the top is a place to eat basic zoo food and ice cream, and a sizeable playground which young children love (more than the animals).
There are many creatures at Barben Zoo, whatever a child is into is likely to be here (except sea creatures). There is even a reptile/snake house.
Next to Barben Zoo is a fine, preserved medieval castle – Chateau de Barben – so this can be a 2-in-one trip.
Barben is about 45 minutes drive from the Luberon.
