Oppede is two villages. There is the amazingly well preserved medieval village called Oppede-le-vieux up on the flank of the Luberon mountain, with its centuries-old architecture, church and castle ruins, and a couple of scenic restaurants in the main square. Down below in the valley is the modern version of Oppede, which has bakery, grocery, bar-restaurant, pizzeria and tennis courts.
The Luberon's other best-loved hill-top villages are all within 15 minutes' drive: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Goult, etc. Within an hour are the splendid towns of Avignon, Arles, St-Remy, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, as well as the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, after-stay clean, visitor tax. For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a mid-stay clean with change of bedlinen and towels. Pool heating available at 150 euros/week
To book: 25% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 6 weeks before arrival.
Rental periods: May-September: 1-week minimum, from 4pm Saturday to 10am Saturday. Rest of year: 5 nights minimum, flexible arrival day.
Refundable damage deposit: 1500 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 10.
Dogs would be accepted at this property with prior agreement.
All properties are non-smoking.
