Fantastic house in perfect location
We had a wonderful week in Belle de Goult. The house was just as in the photographs: comfortable, well equipped and clean. The garden and pool are lovely. The icing on the cake is the house’s location in the heart of Goult: you have everything you need (cheese shop, butcher, baker, restaurants, epicerie) on your doorstep in a really beautiful, unspoilt village. We loved browsing the shops, getting fresh bread each morning, and eating locally. My kids adored the takeaway pizza!
Florence was welcoming and helpful on arrival and stayed in touch through our stay. As others have mentioned, we preferred to park in the main square which was safe and easy, instead of the narrow road to the garage. It was no problem.
We will hopefully be returning as we had a fabulous time.
Goult is a little-known gem of a village, with a lovely atmosphere, a good cafe/restaurant on the main square, and several other good restaurants, as well as a beautifully preserved old neighbourhood with bakery, butcher, grocery store, leading up past the chateau to the windmill looking out to the Luberon. It is an ideal base, with everything you need, and not too busy. Goult has a seasonal market on Thursday mornings. The village also has public tennis courts.
The other perched, hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, and Oppede-le-vieux are all 10-15 minutes away. The impressive Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the antiques capital of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 20 minutes away, the medieval city of Avignon is 40 minutes, and within an hour or so are Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy-de-Provence, Arles, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the Rhone wine trail.

Lovely house in a wonderful town
A very well-appointed house, with modern appliances and excellent WiFi. The primary bedroom has an ensuite bath, while the second bedroom does not. The yard in back, which has a pool, has an outstanding view of the valley and south to the Luberon. It was wonderful to sit out there in the evening and watch golden hour over the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house.
In addition, the house is a five minute walk from the center of Goult. The village has everything you need – an epicerie, a cheese shop, a butcher, a boulangerie/patisserie, and five restaurants, several of which were really excellent. There are great walks both in the village itself and on the footpaths leading out of the village (there are a couple that originate at the windmill at the top of the village). A car is a necessity if you want to visit the many hillside villages in the area, or to go further, to Marseille, Nîmes, the Camargue, or Avignon.
Perfect stay in the Luberon
We spent two wonderful weeks at Belle de Goult. The house is great, perfect for one or two couple. The yard is beautiful and the swimming pool ideal. It is especially nice to be in the heart of the village and yet to enjoy complete solitude as if we were out in the countryside. We have already booked our next stay.
Simply excellent
We stayed a week in Belle de Goult. Others have said it, and we agree – this a a wonderful vacation location. For us, a flawless house and location. Located right in the heart of the village, it makes so easy, the daily shopping for food in the village stores and bakery. The village’s restaurants – such an asset.
Goult is a quiet, delightful, pretty village – doesn’t seem to get the tourist buses that over-run the streets of larger villages nearby. Its central location makes it a wonderful base from which to explore the Luberon.
The house itself is very well appointed with modern plumbing and electrical fixtures. The kitchen too is well equipped and user friendly. The living spaces on the ground floor are extensive – opening out onto a sunny terrace above the lawn. The bedrooms, located on the upper floor are, very comfortable, both with compelling views of the beautiful landscape beyond. And it’s so quiet. Idyllic!

A glorious stay
We had the most glorious stay and we fell in love with Goult and the house. I am hoping to re-book in June and see the lavender.
The accommodation was faultless.
