Great location and perfect space for large group or family

Goult is a little-known gem of a village, with a lovely atmosphere, a good cafe/restaurant on the main square, and several other good restaurants, as well as a beautifully preserved old neighbourhood with bakery, butcher, grocery store, leading up past the chateau to the windmill looking out to the Luberon. It is an ideal base, with everything you need, and not too busy. Goult has a seasonal market on Thursday mornings. The village also has public tennis courts.
The other perched, hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, and Oppede-le-vieux are all 10-15 minutes away. The impressive Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the antiques capital of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 20 minutes away, the medieval city of Avignon is 40 minutes, and within an hour or so are Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy-de-Provence, Arles, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the Rhone wine trail.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, 3 hours of housekeeping during the week, after-stay clean. Visitor tax is not included. Pool heating is charged €300/week extra in May, June and September.
To book: 30% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 2 months before arrival.
Rental periods: 1-week minimum, from 4pm Saturday to 10am Saturday.
Refundable damage deposit: 1000 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 12 with a maximum of 10 adults.
Pets are not accepted at this property.

Lovely house in a beautiful, private location
We have been renting this property every other year or so for the past 12 years. We keep coming back because it is a magical spot. The house itself is very roomy and comfortable, and has a huge and very well-equipped kitchen for people to gather in. There are multiple places to gather outside as well, including a recently added grilling/dining/sitting area with views of the Luberon. The location is completely private, but it is within easy walking distance of the town of Goult, which has several very good restaurants and cafės, and stores carrying all the necessities. Both the owner and the property manager were extremely helpful and quick to respond to questions, etc. We will be back!
La Fontaine highly recommended
We have just booked our family summer holiday at La Fontaine for the fourth consecutive year. Having previously stayed in different villas each year, once we stayed at La Fontaine, we found it so lovely that we wanted to keep going back. The youngest in our party last year was 1, the eldest 91 –; with all ages in between and everyone loved the house, the garden and the pool: so much so that we rarely left it in our fortnight’s stay. A lovely house near a lovely village. We recommend it in the highest terms.
The Perfect House in Provence
I have rented this beautiful home each year for the past nine years. It has a great layout with the gorgeous chef’s kitchen being central to the home. The large living room is luxuriously furnished and has a grand wood-burning fireplace. One of the best features of this home is that each bedroom has its own private bathroom (and an extra half bath for general use). The owners are amazing – extremely friendly and responsive. For those who love to swim, there is a lovely swimming pool, as well. The walk to the near-by charming village of Goult is so pleasant. In Goult, there is a wonderful patisserie with delicious croissants and breads, as well as an exceptional butcher, a well-stocked market with friendly service and several good restaurants. For me, this is the perfect home with the perfect owners in the perfect location. I highly recommend this property.
