An idyllic getaway
We had a fantastic stay in Menerbes at Florence’s house. The house is nicely decorated and very functional. The proximity to a charming village on foot is a real plus. The outdoor dining table, behind the house, is shaded and very pleasant during hot hours.
We especially loved the swimming pool area with its splendid dominant view and which is, like the front garden, an ideal spot to enjoy sunsets at aperitif time. We highly recommend this rental.
Menerbes rises up like a ship from the sea of vineyards that run along the Luberon valley and is officially one of 'The Most Beautiful Villages of France'. Menerbes has two levels. On the mid-level are restaurants, cafe, bakery and grocery store. And on the top level you can stroll past grand houses with magnificent views to north and south, as well as the Maison de la Truffe et du Vin (House of Wine and Truffles), where you can buy produce and also have lunch in the beautiful garden. Market day in Menerbes is Thursday mornings from April to October.
From Menerbes you can get to the other picture-perfect hill-top villages of the north Luberon within 15 minutes by car: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux and Goult. Within an hour are the must-sees of Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy, Les Baux-de-Provence and Arles.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, after-stay clean. For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a weekly clean with change of bedding and towels.
To book: 25% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 8 weeks before arrival.
Rental periods: 1-week minimum, rental periods run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am.
Refundable damage deposit: 800 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 6.
Dogs are allowed with a 100 euros supplement.
All properties are non-smoking.
Peaceful , tranquil environment to truly relax
What a wonderful treat this home provided. From the moment we first arrived to discover all the beauty this property was wonderful. The whole experience was totally amazing. Fabulous location to the village, only a short stroll, but the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, just looking at the glorious views and listening to birdsong.
We would love to return again. The house was well presented and catered for our needs. The pool and gardens well maintained.
A fantastic place to stay
We had an amazing holiday staying in La Vie En Rose. The house is well equipped, comfortable and the garden is spectacular with lots of plants, trees and different areas to relax in. The swimming pool is lovely and also has views of the Luberon. Similarly, at the back of the house, there is another large garden area with views to Menerbes – a great place to sit and have a drink and watch the sun set over the village. And dining under the Mulberry tree – what could be better!!
Menerbes is a short walk away where you can get bread and there is also a local shop which provides basic provisions. There are several excellent restaurants as well.
Florence was always very helpful and responded promptly to queries. There is an excellent back up team as well.
We hope to return next year and spend another two weeks in this idyllic property.
Simply spectacular
We had the good fortune of staying in Florence’s beautiful home for two extended periods: first in September and October, and then again in November and December.
From the moment we walked through the door, we felt completely at home. The house is even lovelier than the photos suggest, combining comfort, character, and an exceptional setting.
Its location is perfect—peaceful and private on the edge of the village, yet only a pleasant walk away from the centre. The views are simply spectacular, stretching across the surrounding countryside to Mont Ventoux.
The house is thoughtfully designed for every season. At the beginning of our stay, we enjoyed warm, sunny weather and appreciated how well the modern design kept the house comfortable during high temperatures. We were able to swim until early October! Later, during the colder months and the mistral winds, we found it equally welcoming, with its fireplace, radiators, excellent insulation, and cosy atmosphere.
Quite honestly, we could not have wished for a better place to stay. Thank you Florence.
Great 2nd stay 🙂
After staying in this house for four weeks last summer, we returned this summer for another two weeks. We had a wonderful time. The house and his location is a perfect base for exploring the Luberon. We also really appreciated the walking distance to Menerbes.
A bakery, grocery store and various restaurants are within walking distance. The house is ideally furnished and has everything you need. Florence and her team are very helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome and will definitely come back.
