Family time in Luberon
We spent two weeks at Le Veran in September with our kids and our one year old granddaughter. The house is nice, comfortable and well equipped. The views from the house are gorgeous. The garden is big with a lots of space for kids to play and with a beautiful pool. Thank you, Antoine for getting a baby crib and a high chair for our granddaughter! She felt very comfortable. We can highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a family vacation in the Luberon.
Goult has everything you would hope for in a Provence village - a good choice of restaurants, a popular cafe on the main square, honey-coloured houses climbing up to a medieval castle and windmill, wide country views, terraces of olive trees and stone shepherd's huts. Market day in Goult is Thursday morning.
The other perched, hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, and Oppede-le-vieux are all 10-15 minutes away. The impressive Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the antiques capital of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 20 minutes away, the medieval city of Avignon is 40 minutes, and within an hour or so are Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy-de-Provence, Arles, Marseille, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the Rhone wine trail.

A haven of peace
We had a great stay at Antoine’s house. It is a peaceful haven with a beautiful unobstructed view of the village of Goult. The house is air-conditioned (in the living room as well as in 4 of the bedrooms) and has many bathrooms and toilets. The pool is large with a wide first step for young children to play in, it is secured by a barrier and there are also swings for children in the garden.
Antoine is friendly and very responsive.
We recommend his house for a pleasant stay with family or friends.
Stunning
A comfortable and quirky converted ‘cabanon’ in a charming, rural setting with stunning views. The house is well equipped. Beds were comfortable and the aircon was most welcome as we were there in a heatwave. Plenty of shady places in the spacious grounds to dine and relax while being serenaded by songbirds. Watching sunsets while the nightingale sang was wonderful. The pool is fabulous. Lots of lovely walking and running trails – though we had to go early to avoid the heat. Antoine, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Perfection!
Everything about booking and the house was perfect. Communication with the owner (Antoine) was fast and easy and payment straightforward. The house is in a beautiful, very quiet location and we were lucky to stay when the nightingale song is at its peak. We enjoyed the 4 different outdoor terraces depending on time of day and weather. The heated pool was large and enjoyable. Inside everything was really clean and the lounge very comfortable. Each bedroom was different and the plumbing and showers worked well. The kitchen is well-equipped and one cupboard had a few basic cooking supplies such as herbs, spices, sugar (left by others). The internet connection is excellent. Goult is about a 10 minute drive (the house is down a maintained, rural track) It has plenty of parking, a good grocer, patisserie, cafe, restaurants (the best, in our opinion, was La Terrace, with really good, interesting food and a Paris-trained young chef. The town was interesting to explore. There’s a really nice farm shop (Beau Repos), just before the junction with the D900, which sells lots of fruit, veg, bread and local products. So all in all, if you want a reliable, spacious, tranquil, farmhouse-style house surrounded by wonderful nature and scenery this is the place to stay’
Paradise in the Luberon
The house is beautiful and the rooms are well soundproofed with air conditioning in some including the kitchen/living room, which is great in summer. The terrace is magical with a view of Goult. The swimming pool is fenced (a must for us with three children under 8 years old). The swimming pool is suitable for doing lengths or paddling with your children. The location is ideal a stone’s throw from Goult, Bonnieux, Ménerbes and Lacoste. 5 minutes away a farm sells vegetables and fruits. Otherwise there are farmers markets in Apt or Coustellet The owners are lovely and very attentive to meeting your expectations.
