A wonderful stay
A great, comfortable apartment, very well equipped, with kind and helpful hosts who are great communicators. The apartment is in the middle of town, on a lively shopping street, where just about everything one could want is right there. Having the Saturday market right outside the front door was great. Free parking is about a five minute walk away (we parked at Charles de Gaulle, by the D22), In short, we had a wonderful stay.

Stunning apartment!
These apartments are an absolute gem. I was lucky enough to be able to book apartment 1 for 4 nights in late June. The apartment is literally stunning. I’ll be honest and say that I was a little worried about not having air con as the outside temperatures were in the high 30’s but I need not have worried. The apartment was very comfortable and the ceiling fans are amazing. I even slept under the summer quilt!
The whole building is stunning. Jen and Chris have thought of finite detail within the whole building, including the courtyard and cave. Everything is tasteful and stylish, keeping the traditional French theme. Not only is everything you need available in the apartment (including fresh filtered tap water helping support reducing plastic waste), everything is on your doorstep. I bought the best cherries I have ever tasted for breakfast, wonderful restaurants and coffee shops on your doorstep including a very good bit of retail therapy. If you’re worried about the fact Apt is pedestrianised, don’t. There are numerous free carparks literally a slow 5 minute walk away or, an added bonus, secured, covered car park space included in the apartment cost.
Jen and Chris are the perfect hosts. On hand if needed or discrete if not required. I couldn’t moan about anything. My stay exceeded my expectations on every level. I will definitely be returning.
A perfect Luberon base
We would like to thank Chris and Jen for opening their beautifully restored and comfortable property in the center of historic Apt to us for the month of January. They were reliable and informative communicators from the moment we officially booked, and they stayed in touch during our four week stay. We were well prepared ahead of our arrival as they provided an incredibly complete guide we downloaded to our phones with answers to any and every question we might have. Chris warmly welcomed us and walked us through the apartment. We can’t say enough about the quality of the furnishings, bedding, appliances, and the number of items available to set up home for such a long visit. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water, the dishwasher worked quietly and efficiently, and the option to watch British tv in the evenings was an additional treat. The parking is off site but is in a protected area with a covered roof, at least that was the case in January! It was an easy walk to the lot and from there we could access all the roads from Apt. The city is located in the center of the Luberon and we were out exploring a new destination, many of which were designated Plus Beaux Villages, every one of the 28 days. The area is rich with history, culture, and walking trails. The geography is absolutely stunning. We were literally surrounded by mountains. There are wineries aplenty as well as olive oil mills, lavender fields, and candy making factories. It is a taster’s delight. We found fabulous markets in several cities, but we loved being able to walk out the door, market basket in hand, to stroll through the Saturday market in old Apt. The small green grocer sold the best lettuce and oranges. We visited all of the boulangeries in Apt and found excellent baguette tradition in each of them. The chocolate shop near the clock tower was a favorite for dessert and for enjoying a cup of coffee and a tarte aux amandes. We travel frequently and we stay for long periods of time to become neighbors rather than tourists. Our standards are fairly high, and we always hope for good value for money. We would rate this apartment in the top 5 of the dozens and dozens of properties we have rented over the decades.
Simply the best!
By far the best accommodation we have ever stayed at. We stayed in for 11 glorious nights . We cooked every night in the incredibly well equipped kitchen. Chris and Jen, our hosts have thought of everything, literally everything. The apartment is clean and so authentic. On the street out front the market sets up on Saturdays. It’s a fabulous market too ! Our hosts were extremely response to our questions. We will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Apt was a perfect location to explore all of Provence and not over run with tourists. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars ! They are the best.
Home from home
We had the pleasure of staying in Apartment number one for 2 weeks. We have been staying in self catering for almost 30 years and the apartment is one of the nicest we have stayed in. Jen and Chris have thought of everything. The apartment is extremely well equipped and we felt so at home. The bed was very comfortable and the location quiet . One of the things we enjoyed the most was listening to the church bells ring. I could easily live there! The location is fantastic and very central to visiting all the hilltop villages as well as over to Avignon and down to Aix. Jen and Chris were very quick to respond to any questions prior and during our visit and we would highly recommend this lovely apartment. Thanks you Jen and Chris for a wonderful stay.😊
