Paradise in Provence!

Graeme’s house was perfect for our stay in Lourmarin. The terrace, pool, and view far exceed the photos. The house is sparsely but comfortably furnished, with tasteful touches that feel very appropriate for the setting. The bedrooms and laundry are on the upper floors and the stairs may be a bit challenging for those with limited mobility. We loved the well-stocked kitchen and the local recommendations. He even left a welcoming bottle of rosé! The manager, Teny, was instantly available for any concerns or questions. Lourmarin itself is a perfect base for exploring the region or simply enjoying village life. I hope to return for a longer stay in future.

PAOLO'S VIEW: “A grand village house with a fantastic location right in the heart of Lourmarin but in a calm setting with garden, country views and pool”

The Location
The house is in a quiet setting in Lourmarin, 1 minutes' walk to all the village amenities.

Lourmarin is one of the star villages of the Luberon, characterised by the lively restaurants and cafes spilling onto the street in the centre, with boutiques and food stores in medieval winding streets. It has a beautifully preserved castle to visit, which hosts various events through the year. And under the castle is a great wine cellar for tasting and buying local wines. On Friday mornings, Lourmarin hosts a great weekly market.

Lourmarin is a wonderful base, and from there you are close to other south Luberon villages like Cucuron and Ansouis, and 20-30 minutes from the beautiful hill-top villages of the north Luberon like Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Goult, Oppede-le-vieux, etc. Within 45-90 minutes are the splendid Provence cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Arles, St-Remy, as well as swimming beaches, the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail.

We really enjoyed the house and its location. Swimming pool and back deck was great and inside kitchen and lounge and dining rooms well equipped and up to date and beautifully decorated.

We had an excellent stay here and would definitely return! Teny was so helpful and accommodating during our check-in and throughout our stay. The house is incredible and full of history while having all the modern amenities to make it very comfortable.

The terrace out back is such a gem! One of the only ones like it that we saw in town. Amazing views and a great place for a meal and a glass of rose. Lourmarin has so much to offer and also a great central spot for day trip to other highlights in the area!

Unbelievable experience in Lourmarin!

The house feels secluded with amazing pool and view , but once you go on the street you are in the middle of everything (great bars, coffee, restaurants and amazing Ice cream!)

Lourmarin is a fabulous town, very well located in Provence. We didn’t drive more than 45 minutes.

Teny was an unbelievable host, was always available and super nice and accommodating. Thank you!
