This was literally the best two weeks holiday I can remember for a long time. The house was perfect. Spacious and accommodating with everything you might need to make your holiday easy and relaxing. Being so close to the village, with the incredibly helpful suggestions from the owner, Ingrid, about places to eat or visit, it all just felt effortless. Being here with friends and family rekindled my love for the Luberon and all it has to offer. Without doubt we will be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

PAOLO'S VIEW: “Character meets contemporary, and how good to have a pool and yet be 2 minutes' stroll from Lourmarin's great restaurants, cafés and market”

The Location
The house is in Lourmarin, 1 minutes' walk to the village amenities.

Lourmarin is one of the star villages of the Luberon, characterised by the lively restaurants and cafes spilling onto the street in the centre, with boutiques and food stores in medieval winding streets. It has a beautifully preserved castle to visit, which hosts various events through the year. And under the castle is a great wine cellar for tasting and buying local wines. On Friday mornings, Lourmarin hosts a great weekly market.

Lourmarin is a wonderful base, and from there you are close to other south Luberon villages like Cucuron and Ansouis, and 20-30 minutes from the beautiful hill-top villages of the north Luberon like Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Goult, Oppede-le-vieux, etc. Within 45-90 minutes are the splendid Provence cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Arles, St-Remy, as well as swimming beaches, the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail.

Home away from home

Rated 5 out of 5
11th July 2026

We spent a wonderful week here in July 2026, and our very first thought was: what an absolutely beautiful house! It has been renovated with so much care and attention to detail, and it truly shows.

The house is spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Its location is simply perfect, right in the heart of the charming village of Lourmarin.

One of the things we loved most was experiencing the village like locals. Every morning we watched the tourists gradually arrive, and every evening we saw them leave again, while we could simply stroll back to our house, stop by the local boulangerie for fresh croissants and pain au chocolat, and enjoy the relaxed Provençal atmosphere.

In short: we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Wonderful house and town

We had a fantastic week staying at Maison de Savornin. The house is located in a great location with the village on your doorstep but also in a peaceful spot so it isn’t noisy. The pool is gorgeous and was particularly helpful as we were there during a heat wave. The house has all the amenities that you need and you can tell that it is loved and used by the owners rather than purely a rental. The bedrooms were all lovely and we spent a lot of time in the family dining / living space. We’ll definitely be back to beautiful Lourmarin and to Maison de Savornin.

Gorgeous villa in Luberon

Maison de Savornin lived up to all the fabulous photos. The villa was very well appointed and an easy 100 metre walk to the town centre. Lourmarin is a gorgeous village with some great cafes and restaurants. While there were still a lot of tourists in mid September the locals seemed to cope graciously and we had some fabulous drives to neighbouring villages of Goult, Roussillon and Ansouis. We’ll certainly be back!

Incredible stay in lovely Lourmarin

We have spent an incredible week in this lovely house. It is split across 3 – 4 levels with lots of space and so well decorated in French country style. The pool is relaxing and private with shaded areas. The house is on the edge of town but steps from everything in Lourmarin. The town has a beautiful chateau, cafes, restaurants, a fantastic Friday market and great shops. Car parking is on the streets nearby but we always managed to find one. Teny, the house manager, was great to deal with. Everything was provided and we felt so well looked after. There is air conditioning in the two main bedrooms and the kitchen area. By closing the shutters during the heat of the day, the house stayed very cool and the other bedroom was cool enough as well. The owner was also great to deal with. I highly recommend this house and Lourmarin. Thank you!
