AMAZING
We loved everything about the house, garden and location!
Inside the house was clean and tastfully decorated. The 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms were spacious and lovely. Outside the garden was in bloom and we were met with the scent of lavender and buzzing bees every morning. And the clean and inviting swimming pool was very nice to have when the temperature reached 42 degrees….
One of the reasons we chose this property was the vicinity to stunning Gordes, and the possibility to walk to L’Abbey de Senanque. We had a truly amazing and unforgettable week at Maison de Senanque and would highly recommend this property!
Gordes is probably the most famous Luberon village, due in no small part to the incredibly photogenic view of it as you arrive. Gordes has a great choice of restaurants, cafes, specialist shops, cultural events, and is alive year-round. On Tuesday mornings the centre of the village around the chateau is taken over by the weekly market. Just outside Gordes is Senanque Abbey, another must-see photo-moment when the lavender is in bloom.
The view from Gordes' high position over the Luberon valley is also spectacular, and you can pick out most of the best hill-top villages of the Luberon, all a short drive away: Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux, Roussillon, Goult. The impressive Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the antiques capital of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 20 minutes away, the medieval city of Avignon is 40 minutes, and within an hour or so are Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy-de-Provence, Arles, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the Rhone wine trail.
Included in the rates: utilities (except car chaging), bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, visitor tax, after-stay clean.
Pool heating is extra outside of July-August. April and October = 200 euros/week. May and September = 100 euros/week. Water temperature depends largely on weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
To book: 30% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 4 weeks before arrival.
Rental periods: Mid-June to mid-September, 1-week minimum rental from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am. Rest of year, minimum 4 nights within a Saturday-Saturday week,
Refundable damage deposit: 900 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 6.
Dogs are not accepted in this property.
All properties are non-smoking.
Provence Paradise
Home is perfectly situated near one of the most picturesque towns in Provence. My wife and I enjoyed the spacious main house while a delightful couple from New Zealand had the adjoining apartment. Our neighbors prepared a beatiful “barbie” for us one evening while we provided the wine. The house is quite beautiful with a large pool and private outside lounging areas. Our visit was the third week of September and the weather was incredible. Highly recommend this property and many thanks to Benedicte for all her help.
Superb
This was our second year at Le Senanque and it was just as good as our first visit. Superb house and location. Large swimming pool. Clean and hygienic and everything worked! Owners are a pleasure to deal with as is the concierge. We could not find fault with the property at all and intend to return soon.
Superb and Comfortable Luxury Villa
Gordes is beautiful, as is this property. Excellent location within easy walking distance of Gordes with option of an interesting hike to Senanque Abbey.
The facilities provided by the house are comprehensive. A large swimming pool, great outdoor terraces and very comfortable rooms all of which are large and airy.

Stunning, serene, and sparkling villa
Maison de Senanque is the perfect base for exploring the Luberon region while offering every comfort and convenience.
The house is spacious and plush and the grounds are immaculately cared for and private—even nicer than the great photos on the website. Our family appreciated cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, doing a few loads of laundry, lounging by the pool, grilling and dining on the outdoor patio, and waking up well-rested from a great night’s sleep. There is no need to drive to town as the walk is easy and beautiful.
Bénédicte’s prompt email responses and wire transfers made booking a breeze. Krissy was the perfect greeter, meeting us right on time and answering all of our questions.
I cannot recommend this rental highly enough and look forward to a future visit.
