The house has lots of desirable amenities – air conditioning, heated pool, tennis court, the breathtaking views. It’s ideal for immersing yourself in nature and comfort. The setting is right in the picturesque Luberon landscape and very tranquil. We loved lounging by the pool, playing tennis, and just taking in the panoramic views. The gorgeous village of Menerbes is about a mile away, an easy walk, and this is a place of quaint streets, places to eat and get a café. Mas de Menerbes would be perfect for family or friends gatherings, it ticks all the boxes for an exceptional Provence vacation.
Menerbes rises up like a ship from the sea of vineyards that run along the Luberon valley and is officially one of 'The Most Beautiful Villages of France'. Menerbes has two levels. On the mid-level are restaurants, cafe, bakery and grocery store. And on the top level you can stroll past grand houses with magnificent views to north and south, as well as the Maison de la Truffe et du Vin (House of Wine and Truffles), where you can buy produce and also have lunch in the beautiful garden. Market day in Menerbes is Thursday mornings from April to October.
From Menerbes you can get to the other picture-perfect hill-top villages of the north Luberon within 15 minutes by car: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux and Goult. Within an hour are the must-sees of Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy, Les Baux-de-Provence and Arles.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, after-stay clean. For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a weekly change of bedding and towels.
To book: 30% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 30 days before arrival.
Rental periods: 1-week minimum. June and September: from 4pm Sunday to 10am Sunday. Rest of year: 7 nights minimum and flexible arrival and departure days. April-May, flexible except Saturdays.
Refundable damage deposit: 1500 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 14, including at least 4 children.
Dogs would be accepted with extra charge of 100 euros per dog per week. Maximum of two dogs.
All properties are non-smoking.
Haven of Tranquility with Incredible Views!
We have just enjoyed the most wonderful week at Mas de Menerbes. There were 8 of us (parents, children in their early twenties and their friends) and the setting and beautiful, spacious home made it a very special week. The grounds are very extensive and private with the most magnificent views. Everyone loved the pool (what an amazing setting!) and also enjoyed playing tennis. We were very grateful for the air-conditioning given the very hot weather and loved having relaxed suppers out on the terrace every evening.
Menerbes itself is beautiful and we also enjoyed visiting Gordes, Bonnieux and Rousillon for their weekly markets.
Monsieur Tu Menerbes has a fabulous terrace and we thoroughly enjoyed drinks and a meal there.
We would also really recommend visiting Domaine de La Citadelle for wine-tasting and a picnic – very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable.

Perfect from ages 3 to 73
Our first time in the Luberon and Mas de Menerbes proved to be an exceptional location for our family holiday of 6 adults and 3 grandsons. The house and its facilities and surroundings were wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every respect. We were blessed with glorious sunshine allowing all the family from those in their 70s down to the 2 year old grandson to enjoy the tennis court and heated pool every day and every evening was an al fresco delight. When not simply relaxing in the expansive grounds of the house we explored the beautiful area around Menerbes; both by car and on electric bikes hired nearby in Coustellet. We were lucky to enjoy the open air market in Coustellet and everywhere found the people friendly and the food delicious from the small pizza restaurant in Goult and those hidden away on the bicycle routes, to the centre of Avignon and the family’s favourite; Monsieur Tu in Menerbes with its wonderful views. This was my family’s first visit to the area and we all look forward to when we might be able to return again someday, perhaps when the lavender is in bloom.
Oasis of well-being for a perfect family vacation
Our stay at the Mas de Menerbes in Provence was simply unique. Our family (6 adults and 5 children) felt very comfortable and enjoyed all the amenities of the house, the facilities, and the surrounding area every day. A heated pool, tennis court, and playground made the family vacation perfect.
The country house itself is beautifully designed – spacious rooms, very stylish furnishings, and perfectly equipped for families with children. We were particularly impressed by the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The location is also ideal for trips to the great cities such as Lacoste, Bonnieux, L’Isle-sur la Sorgue and others. The quiet location combined with plenty of space to play and relax made the vacation unforgettable for the whole family. We would come back anytime!
