Fantastic Week
We loved La Senanque apartment. It is beautifully appointed and very well equipped with everything that you need. The pool is lovely. An easy 10 minutes’ walk into Gordes. We loved the village – so quintessentially French. We enjoyed a couple of lazy mornings wandering round, two great evenings and a visit to the market. The area is so beautiful – Menerbes and Roussillon both worth a visit. And Avignon good for a day out. We will never forget our wonderful week in Provence and hope to return soon.
Gordes is probably the most famous Luberon village, due in no small part to the incredibly photogenic view of it as you arrive. Gordes has a great choice of restaurants, cafes, specialist shops, cultural events, and is alive year-round. On Tuesday mornings the centre of the village around the chateau is taken over by the weekly market. Just outside Gordes is Senanque Abbey, another must-see photo-moment when the lavender is in bloom.
The view from Gordes' high position over the Luberon valley is also spectacular, and you can pick out most of the best hill-top villages of the Luberon, all a short drive away: Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux, Roussillon, Goult. The impressive Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the antiques capital of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 20 minutes away, the medieval city of Avignon is 40 minutes, and within an hour or so are Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy-de-Provence, Arles, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the Rhone wine trail.
Included in the rates: utilities (except car chaging), bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, visitor tax, after-stay clean.
Pool heating is extra outside of July-August. April and October = 200 euros/week. May and September = 100 euros/week. Water temperature depends largely on weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
To book: 30% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 4 weeks before arrival.
Rental periods: Mid-June to mid-September, 1-week minimum rental from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am. Rest of year, minimum 4 nights within a Saturday-Saturday week,
Refundable damage deposit: 600 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 2.
Dogs are not accepted in this property.
All properties are non-smoking.
Senanque Apartment
We had a great stay in the apartment that is 7 or 8 minutes walk from Gordes. The apartment is modern and well furnished with a fantastic swimming pool. We had some very nice co-guests beside us in the larger house but it should be noted that if you have co-guests who like to be a bit rowdy, you will hear them, as the bedroom backs on to the next door living area. We had no such problems and enjoyed the company of our neighbours. The kitchen was perfect for two people and we ate outside on the deck frequently with it being a lovely place to sit in both the mornings and the evenings. Gordes is a beautiful town to base yourself in to see the wonderful towns of The Luberon, with many other picturesque places close by.

Excellent cottage
We had a wonderful two weeks at this amazing cottage. Nothing was left to chance and the owners have thought of everything. Be prepared to get them to supply basic goods such as washing powder, milk etc. and everything would be perfect. We will definitely return!
Charming and sublime
The studio is charming, the decorative taste very good, everything is functional and well thought out . The property is sublime: the garden and the large swimming pool made us happy for a week. We really felt at home. It is quiet and very well located, a few minutes walk from Gordes. We will return with great pleasure!
