Perfect house with taste close to the village
We (familly of 4) spent a great week at the end of our Provence trip in this beautiful house at the skirt of small Luberon village Cucuron and loved it.
It is to be mentioned that the house is part of the village, so there are neighbours, you will definitly hear the road traffic, sometimes machines on the fields around. During our stay there was a circus at the other side of the village and we could hear the music in the evening. But for us it was all fine. We slept well and didn’t feel disturbed by noise at all.
Cucuron is a sweet small village, not as touristic and nothing special like Lourmarin or Bonnieux, but we enjoyed to be able to go to the boulangerie, the small supermarché or the small market by foot. For the bigger shopping you better use the SuperU not far away by car.
From Cucuron you can easily do little tours to all the beautiful villages in the Luberon.
The house itself really has everything you need, is not only perfectly equipped with brandnew stuff (WiFi nearly everywhere, pingpong table, babyfoot, etc.) but also decorated with great taste. We just loved the interior design and the mix of furniture.
The garden is marvelous and has a nice view. The pool is great and big enough, the terrace beautiful for breakfast & dinner, the couch area a nice place to hang out. The boule court with sophisticated lighting is really special to even play latenight.
Check in and out with property manager Christel was very kind and informative. As there haven’t been too many guests after renovation, she asked us to tell her if we see things that could be improved and noted the very few small points we made at the end.
It’s been a beautiful experience and we’d definitely love to come back. Merci beaucoup!
Cucuron is a south Luberon village that combines fantastic looks, medieval history and charm, with all the amenities you need: bakeries, butchers, grocery store, bank, cafes and restaurants, and even a Michelin-starred restaurant (La Petite Maison). At the centre of Cucuron is its huge water basin surrounded by centuries-old plane trees, which you may remember from the film 'A Good Year'. This is where the weekly market takes place, and is also home to restaurants and cafes.
Cucuron is on the south side of the Luberon, close to the equally beautiful Lourmarin and Ansouis, and the hill-top villages of the north Luberon - Bonnieux, Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Goult, etc. - are 30-40 minutes away. The splendid city of Aix-en-Provence is 40 minutes to the south, and within 90 minutes are Avignon, Arles, St Remy, Nimes, as well as the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail. You can be swimming in the sea in less than 90 minutes.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, after-stay clean. For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a weekly clean with change of bedding and towels.
To book: 50% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 8 weeks before arrival.
Rental periods: 1-week minimum, from 5pm Saturday to 10am Saturday, mid-June to August. Flexible arrival/departure days the rest of the year, with 7 nights minimum.
Refundable damage deposit: 2000 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 10.
Dogs would be considered at this property.
All properties are non-smoking.
Heavenly house
We had an amazing stay in August 2025. Cucuron is a brilliant little town with everything you could need – bakery, shops and an excellent ice cream shop (all 5 mins walk away) – and beautiful too. The house is superb – in addition to a great location on the edge of town it is spacious, well laid out and nicely appointed. We stayed with our young family and also various friends who joined us throughout the month.
Beautiful Villa in Charming Location
We had a wonderful family holiday here – the villa was everything we had hoped for and more. It’s set in a perfect location, right in a charming village that feels authentic and welcoming without being overly touristy. The pool was fantastic, and we loved spending evenings playing pétanque on the field – such a highlight! The house itself is tastefully decorated, with traditional touches that give it so much character. It is modern and quiet and overall very comfortable. Memorable stay for parents, grandparents and kids alike!

Beautiful villa and a lovely town.
This is a really fantastic house
We had a really wonderful stay at Dominique’s. Christel was a lovely manager and gave some great tips that were new to us even though we’ve been to the region quite a few times.
The house was very comfortable, clean, spacious, fully equipped kitchen – and with air conditioning a much appreciated amenity in the heat wave. We enjoyed many idyllic meals outside and hours of fun in the pool and petanque court.
We loved Cucuron – a peaceful, authentic and pretty village that had all the amenities we needed – boulangerie, boucherie, pharmacy, ice cream parlour! and of course the markets.
Upon check out we found we had stained the flagstones and Dominique was very understanding.
This is a really fantastic house – perfect for a larger group/family with space, flexibly and easy walking proximity to the village.
We would love to return!
