Beautiful house
A beautifully furnished house, full of antiques and lovely items, with comfortable beds and a small but perfect pool. It was just right for our group of 4 adults and two children. It is walking distance from the village, with a bakery and epicerie and cafe–just about all you need–and near all the picturesque hilltop towns of the Luberon. My only quibble was that the kitchen was hard to use if you were seriously interested in cooking. But I would gladly go back again.
Oppede is two villages. There is the amazingly well preserved medieval village called Oppede-le-vieux up on the flank of the Luberon mountain, with its centuries-old architecture, church and castle ruins, and a couple of scenic restaurants in the main square. Down below in the valley is the modern version of Oppede, which has bakery, grocery, bar-restaurant, pizzeria and tennis courts.
The Luberon's other best-loved hill-top villages are all within 15 minutes' drive: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Goult, etc. Within an hour are the splendid towns of Avignon, Arles, St-Remy, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, as well as the Camargue, Marseille, and the Rhone wine trail.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, after-stay clean. Visitor tax is not included. For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a weekly change of bedding and towels.
To book: 30% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 8 weeks before arrival.
Rental periods: June-September, 1 week minimum, Saturday-Saturday. Rest of year, 5 nights minimum, flexible arrival day.
Refundable damage deposit: 1000 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 8, if including 2 children at least.
Dogs would be considered at this property, with a supplement of 80 euros.
All properties are non-smoking.
Idyllic family villa
We loved the garden and the beautiful and stylishly furnished house. The location on the edge of a very pretty village was ideal, we could walk to the nearest bakery and a small grocery store. The house was ideal for our family holiday with baby.
Highly recommended
Comfortable house, lovely large rooms with much needed aircon during a heatwave. We had a great stay, the garden has many seating areas. Fantastic bbq installed. The pool is somewhat smaller but was fine for us. Vanina is a great host. Place comes highly recommended we would certainly come back.
A jewel in Oppede
This is a gem located in the beautiful village of Oppede. The villa is spacious, with comfortable beds and great amenities. The pool is a great size and the terrace is perfect for evening meals. Our family had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to others. The restaurants in the village are great and the pizza van serves up fantastic pizza at the weekend!
Very enjoyable stay, we loved it
Great stay in this very nice house, tastefully decorated. The bedding is comfortable, the bathrooms very clean. We were with our daughters, 20 and 24, and friends. Everyone had a good time. Area is beautiful!
