Gordes is probably the most famous Luberon village, due in no small part to the incredibly photogenic view of it as you arrive. Gordes has a great choice of restaurants, cafes, specialist shops, cultural events, and is alive year-round. On Tuesday mornings the centre of the village around the chateau is taken over by the weekly market. Just outside Gordes is Senanque Abbey, another must-see photo-moment when the lavender is in bloom.
Goult is a gem of a village, with a lovely atmosphere, a good cafe/restaurant on the main square, and several other good restaurants, as well as a beautifully preserved old neighbourhood with bakery, butcher, grocery store, leading up past the chateau to the windmill looking out to the Luberon. It is an ideal base, with everything you need, and not too busy. Goult has a seasonal market on Thursday mornings. The village also has public tennis courts.
The other perched, hill-top villages of the Luberon, like Menerbes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste, and Oppede-le-vieux are all 10-15 minutes away. The impressive Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the antiques capital of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 20 minutes away, the medieval city of Avignon is 40 minutes, and within an hour or so are Aix-en-Provence, St-Remy-de-Provence, Arles, Marseille, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the Rhone wine trail.
Included in the rates: utilities, bedlinen, towels, WiFi internet, midweek clean, after-stay clean.
To book: 30% booking deposit, with the balance payment due 50 days before arrival.
Rental periods: 1 week minimum from 4pm Saturday to 10am Saturday.
Refundable damage deposit: 3000 euros.
Cancellation: if you have to cancel, we will try to re-book your dates, and refund the amount recovered (minus bank charges).
Maximum occupancy: 14 with maximum of 12 adults.
Pets would not be accepted at this property.
All properties are non-smoking.
Wonderful villa
We had a wonderful time at the villa. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, the garden is beautifully landscaped, and the infinity pool was a real highlight. The kitchen is well-equipped, but you should bring your own dish soap/tablets and plenty of towels, as you might run short otherwise. It was particularly thoughtful that our request for a baby cot was answered immediately and one was specially arranged – excellent service! There’s a ping-pong table and a pétanque court if you’d like to do something other than relax on the sun loungers. Overall, we enjoyed peace and quiet and a wonderful time in this beautiful accommodation.
Everything exceeded our expectations
A beautiful home, pool, well-stocked kitchen, lots of towels, very responsive manager. Our party of 11 had plenty of space and we enjoyed the pool deck, the beautiful outdoor eating area and the kids loved the pool.

A fantastic holiday
The villa is situated in a quiet location on a hill with breathtaking views. The grounds are very well-maintained, clean, and very well-equipped. We had a wonderful week and would love to come back.
