We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future! We loved the crisp linen sheets, towels provided for the pool, shower products, the cleanliness, location and everything provided that made our stay so much more enjoyable and easy. The bottle of rosé upon arrival made our two day travel day extra special! Thank you for going above and beyond.

PAOLO'S VIEW: “Charmingly Provencal, with stunning views and the major bonus of a heated pool in the heart of the village. Saignon has the restaurants, cafes and bakery you need for a village stay to remember”

The Location
The house is right in the heart of the village of Saignon.

Saignon is a beautiful Luberon village perched above the Luberon valley, with a handful of restaurants, a bakery and basic groceries, its medieval streets and fountains, and that view from on high. Saignon is one of the little-known gems of the Luberon, unspoilt and preserved.

All the other picture-perfect, 'perched' hill-top villages of the Luberon are within 30 minutes by car: Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Oppede-le-vieux, Bonnieux, and Goult. The market town of Apt with its supermarkets and the region's biggest street market is 7 minutes away. Within 80 minutes are Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Arles, St-Remy, Mont Ventoux, Les Baux-de-Provence and Marseille.

The house, in the heart of the very pretty village of Saignon, is pretty and offers magnificent views of the village and the beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Martina was very responsive and accommodating. Very pleasant stay as a family!

We loved staying in this beautiful house. The town it’s situated in is idyllic, and easy access to restaurants and a bakery. The house was very spacious and comfortable and we loved the garden, pool and terrace at the top of the house. I would say it’s much better than in the photos and would highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Maximilian! Gorgeous views, super pool, peaceful, lovely village. We felt lucky to have this house as our home for a week.

At night, our group of 5 cooked great meals (the grill outside was excellent), watched the spectacular sunsets, or ate at local restaurants; we toured lavender fields, Roman ruins, and markets during the day. The sparkling pool was a wonderful way to shed the summer heat each afternoon.

The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, in a quiet picturesque village. It’s five minutes from Apt for groceries and conveniently located to other Luberon villages by bike or car. Our kids walked to Chez Christine every morning for pastries and we enjoyed two of the restaurants in town. We hiked to lavender fields on the plateau, cooled off in the beautiful pool, ate our meals al fresco…it’s a slice of heaven!
